Source? Wholesale or retail? Last year it was primarily a wholesale price increase to try and reduce discounting.

Generally old stock prices should not be affected-- but once that is gone...

I think it was more like 10% in Australia given our dollar

I was just at Dallas AD and only certain models going up. 15400 going up $700 for example.

Ha. Calm down....
I've never tried one on before believe it or not. My town doesn't have an AP dealer (or IWC, Zenith, Lange, Blancpain, GP, GO, RM or VC!) I barely had any time on a trip to Dallas and I tried on a 15400 and another smaller version. Seemed really small so I'm not sure if it was the 15300 or not. Seemed bigger than 2mm difference. The 15400 Silver did look really nice and I get what you say about the finish on these things. Almost to nice. Worried about jacking it up. The salesman did his normal thing...price increase, looks great on you, out of state ship to you. He acted like no discount, but I didn't ask. He was a very nice guy. So, what do I have in mind????....15400 silver I guess. I'll see if the excitement sticks around, but I'm a slow buyer on new to me models. Also, pondering a PP-5711. Either one of these and I'll have to cannibalize my collection (heavily in the case of the 5711).

The only model that increased was the 15400ST by $700. This was confirmed by George at Govberg.

The sales guy mentioned like 3 or 4 ones to me. I thought one of them was the rose gold 15400 version.

The 15202 is in PP price range. The movement looks stunning on it, but I'd be pretty hard pressed to buy a watch without having ever seen one before. I was thinking the 15400 because it is affordable to me (and it looks pretty sweet).

This thread is getting good! 5711? Yo! I love that piece a helluva lot...but for an SS watch, the price is insane. That's why I love the RO. You get the Genta design and all of the other high-end perks, but not for the same coin.

I'm in research mode. 15202 is awesome, but near the 5711 price, so I'd rather go that way. That leaves me with a 15300 as next leading contender. Silver or blue seem within my price reach. 15400's are nice, but worry about the lug and potential overhang. I didn't look at it close enough when I tried it on. To enamored with the dial.

Mik. Trust me. You'd be happiest with the 15300.

Agree, I owned a white 15300 which I bought because the price was right and there was no black dial available. I later of course flipped it for a black 15400.
I like black dials better, but miss the size and proportions of the 15300.

If you can find a nice used 15300 (since they have been discontinued) it's such a great AP. I'm still kicking myself for not keeping mine!

The Blue Dial is a nice alternative to the majority of black dials you have Mik. It's another deceivingly simple dial which looks so different under many lighting conditions.
