Opinion On This 18k 1601

Hi, all!

I am quite interested with this 1967 18k 1601 and would like to solicit your opinion about it. Any comment and remark will be much appreciated.

Looks quite nice, slate dial, it's had a few polishes in its life but it all depends on price

Dial looks really nice (cant tell if all minute marks are intact). Can someone comment if the hands are correct for that serial?
Lugs are polished too much for me - but thats just me.

The asking price is US$5200.

I think it's charming, it has been polished hard, but it still looks attractive. The hands are early and not easy to get. If the hands are not correct for that serial, replacements are very easy to get and not expensive (I just paid $30 for absolutely correct, mint-looking vintage hands for my 1601).

not a great price but not bad either if you really like it, btw those hands are fine, alpha hands ran upto late 60's and the change over was gradual from about 1965 to modern style hands

I actually have the same slate dial mounted on a TT 1601.

Now I am contemplating whether it is still worth getting this piece or perhaps get it and sell the TT.
