Rolex 1675 question.

So I came across this 3.2million serial GMT 1675 for $3k, however it needs work. The crown with stem is coming off, crown tube needs replacement and chunk of lume on hands has come off as well. the watch seems to be running but setting time is somewhat tricky. Looks to be all original to me. So is it worth the asking? Thanks.

sorry only got 1 pic.

For a bit more you could get one that is in a little better condition.

For 3k, ill take it n then flip it. The parts alone r worth more. Though its not a keeper for me.

Is it worth the asking price.......

Absolutely. Replacing or repairing the hands, along with a new crown/tube/crystal and service should be rather inexpensive and you have well under $4000 in the watch.

I was thinking that, but for the crown to be coming off like that without any resistance is really the deal breaker for me. I do not know how much internal work is needed. I also see early 70s GMT on the bay starting at about 5k+.

I'd snap it up, great insert, nice dial, would'nt take a lot to get it looking and working beautifully.

Nice watch. For 3k, it is a steal. I would have the hands color matched to the dial, polish the crystal (or replaced if it has cracks), have the movement serviced and call it a day.

As long as movement not rusty & serial numbers visible it's a buy imho.

If the watch is ticking n running, then usually most problems can be fixed pretty easily. I dont see How u can go wrong for 3k in this market.

If you don't buy it someone will and fix it up and sell for 7k! Look at gmt prices and you won't find one close to 3k or 5k mind you.

Absolutely take it at $3K! Service on this is $500 and maybe $180 stem/crown. It's a flip for under $4k that you can move after service for $5-6k easily

It is worth more than $3,000 just in parts, definitely a 'steal'. Good luck!

Looks like a submariner band too. The inner links are not polished. Although I'm not sure if you would be able to tell anyways.

Like it said in my post. Someone will be smart and buy it and sell it for more. Looks like they did nothing except post it and jack up the price. Smart
