Exp II 216570 long term ownership

Has anyone had the same Explorer II since it first came out in 2011 as a daily wearer? How has the new movement held up? Reliability?

Although it carries a 3187 movement it is very similar to the 3185 and 3186 that have proved reliable for years in millions of GMTs and older Expl2 models. I would say it is no more or less reliable than any other rolex. However, the case is very durable which makes it a great daily wearer and can take more of an eating compared to others!

Seems to be a very reliable movement. I have been very satisfied with mine.

So good to hear. I have had mine for a month today and I absolutely love it. Have not had to adjust the time even once. Very accurate!

My daily wearer. Jeans or dress pants and if this one a glove.

Exp II 216570 long term ownership

Probably the next watch to add to the stable. Been eyeing a new Polar last few weeks. Had a 16570 and miss it. Interested in trying the new case.

I got mine very shortly after they came out. As I've accumulated more references it doesn't get as much wrist time, but it still remains as one of my most sentimental pieces. There is nothing else in the Rolex catalog that looks like it making it very difficult to justify replacing. It's my only piece with a white dial as well which means its always a safe fall back. I can't see myself ever getting rid of it. It certainly will make due as a daily wearer in either black or white.
