For the cigar lover
I was gifted some cigars yesterday. I was told they were very good. I don't smoke, and don't know any cigar smokers, so I'll take their word on that.
Since I have no need for them, I would like to send them to someone who might appreciate their qualities. PM me if you're interested. The only caveat is that you will need to be able to receive DHL in your locale. ` |

Super score on some rare Opus X. Excellent smokes and a fine gesture.

I now need some shipping help.
DHL rejected the package back to me saying that the recipient in the US needed to be licensed to receive cigars. I see a requirement for cigarettes, but the only US restriction I see for cigars is they can't be Cuban. These are Dominican and have a California health warning label on the package, so I don't know what happened. Shipping these shouldn't be this complicated. I shipped a Rolex to the US with less hassles. Any suggestions? |

The US shipping address seems to be the trouble.
If anyone has any experience shipping tobacco products from outside the US, to the US, I can use the hack to get past the couriers questions. |

Never shipped anything to the US, except for a postcard.
I can imagine Cuban cigars to be a problem, but these are not so I don't know what's going wrong. |

There must be a simple solution. But I've never shipped tobacco products and don't know what I need to get the courier to accept it. |

It sounds like a problem from where you are shipping. There have been plenty of cigars shipped into the US from abroad. I do not know what the issue could be. They seem to have been made for the US market based on the sticker on the case.
Really nice gesture, they are great cigars from a great company. |

Those are some really nice cigars. They have them at the pipe shop I buy my tobacco from occasionally. I haven't been able to get one yet, they sell out as soon as they come in. Let us know how they smoke Gerardo!
And great gesture Abdullah! |

I cracked the code. Part of the problem was some staff not understanding what was required. I called the customer service office and obtained the correct information.
The other part of the problem is the DHL receiving staff is required to check for the country of origin label. If they don't see a label, they are to assume it's Cuban and reject. This box doesn't have such a label on it, so I had to make one and attach it to the cigar box to tick that box for the DHL staff. The package has been accepted and is on the way to Gerardo. PM sent with tracking number. I hope they are good when they get there. |
