Panny spotted

This may be old news, but last night I ended up watching After the Sunset, with Pierce Brosnan, Woody Harrelson and the ever delicious Salma Hayek.

Anyways, Pierce's character wears what looks like a PAM91 throughout the movie and Woody actually points it out and asks him how much. Then at the end of the flick, Woody shows that he got himself one.

I tell ya, between looking at his panny and drooling over Salma... I was a happy chappy.

I heard rumors that the Omega people weren't real pleased that he wore his daily watch for the movie.

So it wasn't paid product placement? Is Pierce a Panny man off-screen?

He is from what I have read. He wears alot of different watches though. I know he wears a Franck Mueller and also a couple different PAM bracelet models. According to Sig. Bonay they have never paid an actor to wear a Panerai, the closest being Elizabethtown, the 127 that Bloom wore actually belonged to Mr. Bonati.

That says alot about the product and the company, then. Cuz pannies seem to be on a lot of movie stars' wrists on and off the screen.

Geez, I wonder if BMW was pissed at Brosnan from that movie cuz he drove a vintage Camero SS.

Like alot of things it is good and bad right? I mean, at least it is not rappers wearing them all blinged out.

It seems like alot of them like the bracelet models. I know "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson wears one in at least two movies, both times it was his own watch. Then of course we have Jason Stratham and his Daylight.

And I saw a documentary with Ewan McGreggor (star wars fame) where he trekked across some south american jungle or something (didn't pay attention as I was flipping channels) but I noticed he was wearign what looked like a PAM90. It was in a bunch of shots.

Zemina and I watched that film on SKY a few weeks ago. There were TWO major cock-ups....and even Zemina pointed them out.
1. One of them pointed it out as a "Rolex"
2. When asked the price, 2000 dollars was the price blurted out!

Well, having seen it last night, there was no reference to "Rolex" or any other brand. Woody just said, "hey, nice watch... what does one of those run?" to which Brosnan said, "oh, a couple of thousand." (which of course is wrong but given his character in the film, he was downplaying it.

And when Woody got his, he said, "hey, look familiar? I got one for myself."

You must have missed it, Johnny....there was a definite reference to the watch as "Rolex". Ask CJ...he will confirm the same. In fact, we discussed this movie over SKYPE just the day after I watched it and he agreed on the two screw-ups.

Well I didn't turn it on until it was 30 minutes into it... so maybe I missed it, or it was edited for TV. Dunno. But in the shot when they discuss the watch on the boat, they never mentioned brand names and you could clearly see 'PANERAI' in the dial.

I think Woody did ask him if it was a Rolex and Brosnan said no. I think, but I'm really not sure. The "couple grand" thing really made me laugh, though. But seriously, I'm as much of a watch nut as the next guy but with Salma Hayek in that flick how could you ever find time to look at anything else

I've been surfing all of my life, the Koru (necklace) Brosnan wore in the flick was very cool. My buddy was in NZ surfing and got me one They have a very symbolic meaning, for me it was very fitting due to certain circumstance. I wear it every day

I concurr 100%. Funny that Woody was in the movie cuz whenever Salma graced the screen, that's what I got!

She's absolutely on my laminated top five list.

One dude on the TV show The Apprentice wears a Panerai as well.
I don't know the models, but it's the standard... black sandwitch looking dial Panerai Luminor.
He lives here in Dallas.

I noticed that too. I think it's a 104 (auto with date).

BTW, regarding Salma, I don't think she got a boob job at all. I think she's packaging them differently. I also saw Desperado on the weekend... damn she's HOT in that!

IMHO Salma and Lucy Liu are the two hottest on the planet.
