In the long run, is RSC cheaper than replacement?

I'm wondering -- let's use NYC RSC and a 114060 as an example -- is it cheaper to have RSC replace worn parts, or is it cheaper to buy a new watch?

e.g. If RSC were to service the 114060 movement and replace the bezel, crown, bracelet and case, would this cost more or less than a brand new 114060?

That's an interesting question. I wonder what they'd say if you brought it in and asked for every external part to be replaced, and what the cost would be.
