5513 Oyster Case with reversed serial and Model

Has anyone seen an older oyster case (in this case a 5513) with the serial and model number in reverse of the normal lug placement? so in this case Serial between the top lugs and model between bottom lugs. I know it would be unlikely for a manufacturer error of that magnitude to leave the factory. Thanks

I haven't seen 5513 like this but I have seen a few 5512 how you described.

I've seen it on some GMT 1675s a couple times. They had serial numbers in the high three million to low four million range.

Interesting ... learnt something new. So I guess this "anomaly" appeared on some references produced around mid-70s

Any thoughts you might have on why they had these reversed markings? Not military correct?

A logical albeit unlikely explanation would be that it was born left-handed and then modified to right-handed at some point in its life.
