Worthwhile vintage buy? Omega Cosmic Moonphase ref 2606

Hi everyone,

I have wanted for some time to grab a vintage Omega - and I came across this Cosmic that was recently serviced. It doesn't strike me as having seen a lot of polish time and the parts look original. Just wanted to get some thoughts on whether this is a good buy. The dial has marks in a few different areas, not sure how this will age, so quite hesitant.

If you really like the watch and the sellers asking price is fair I don't see why not.

The worthwhile depends on how much they are asking for it.

From the pics alone, it looks to be in good shape. The imperfection on the dial, imo, is quite acceptable for a watch that is half a century old. The caseback is quite dirty (some sign of oxidation/corrosion at 7 0'clock mark? or it might have been tool marks from opening the case, can't quite tell), but nothing a watchmaker can't fix. As long as all fuctions are a ok, I would go for it.

Cool watch! How much do they want for it?
