SubC and BLNR -- Perfect Pair?

It seems like this forum would consider the SubC and BLNR the perfect pair. Do they get equal wrist time or do you find yourself wearing one substantially more than the other?

Post pics of the pair if you have them!

I have that perfect pair (along with a few others). The Sub and GMT get about equal time.

You are right, they are probably two of the most popular Rolex models in general.

As for wrist time, I got bored with the BLNR quickly and flipped it. Nice watch, but just didn't sing to me.

SubC and BLNR -- Perfect Pair?

I think the Sub and GMT could be the perfect pair. There are many permutations available using these two models.

I have the GMT IIc LN and the Sub LVc. GMT gets most wrist time but that's just because it is my work watch and the Sub is my weekend watch.

My current favourite is the Sub though, but that might be down to the honeymoon factor.

SubC and BLNR -- Perfect Pair?

I went with the BLNR and Explorer I 39mm combo instead. I found the pair to make more sense in my collection as they are incredibly different and complementary. If I were to add a Sub in the future it would most likely be the LV (Hulk).

For me the SubC and Exp 39mm is the perfect pair!
They cover all wearing conditions. The SubC & BLNR are too similar.

The GMT and Sub cases look too similar for me to have as a two watch collection.

Same here. I think I will spring for the black steel GMT pretty soon. Maybe put a green Everest rubber strap on it to pick up the green GMT hand.

I favour the Subc, prefer the smaller bezel numbers, functions aside.

I could live with this as a two watch collection.

Each is a fantastic watch, but as a pair they aren't perfect to me. Too much similarity in the case and bezel designs.

Now either one of those paired with a DateJust, that's ideal.

And if you've got an Explorer, pairing with almost anything works for me.

Yes...the EXP pairs up nicely with just about anything since it has its own unique look.

The GMTc LN was my first Rolex, more than 10 years ago now and my daily wearear for almost two years. That was until the day that I decided to buy a LVc and fell instantly in love with the Glidelock clasp.

I tried to regain the affection for the GMT and bought a TT model, a second SS LN and finally a BLNR but none were keepers.

The Sub won for me.

That's what I'm working towards. I love my BLNR but wish I had a ND sub to wear daily. One day...

I have the BLNR with no desire for a Sub, they look basically the same, i have a few other Rolex watches, Milgauss and a 36 YG President, I like variation.

Hulk and BLNR is the perfect modern pair. The dynamic duo.

I think they are quite a perfect pair. In my case I prefer the polar explorer over BLNR as it does similar job of GMT with a entirely different look that makes it a better pair (especially for folks like me who does not need the blingy look of PCLs)

My 2 cents

Fun to see those all side by side. Love that YG Sub with the blue....if I were ever in a position to buy a pm watch that would be fighting for top slot with a 36mm DD in YG.

As my tastes evolve, I'm realizing I have no more interest in sport steel watches like the Subc and gmt2. Lack character/flavor - way too common.

I'm enjoying my first yg rolex dd and now working my way up to the Nautilus 5980R rg on croc and perhaps an AP RO thin in yg.

No offense intended! Just sharing my honest thoughts as a former owner of Rolex sport watches. Kevin Hart's instagram is littered w/ some good ones. Dude is doing it right.

Both beautiful watches but as some others have said I consider them a little too similar in general design (case shape, rotating bezel) to have both. Now a Sub or GMT with an Explorer I would consider to be the perfect pair.

I does make a good pair. My pair is the BLNR and the SD. I find myself wearing the BLNR more often, but I can't really say why. Maybe because it's thinner and wears a little more comfortably on my wrist.
