Looking for rounded acrylic crystal for Air King 5500
Morning gents,
I have a circa 1972 Air King 5500 of my father's which I have had brought back to working condition but the crystal was replaced with what I believe is called a "service crystal." While it is acrylic, it has sharp edges, whereas I recall the original crystal being very rounded. I am going to attempt to find a proper original style crystal for this watch. Can anyone provide me a part number to help me find this? Thank you, DeWayne |

A rolex service center should have it. I changed the plexi on an old OP Date, cost me 70 usd. The plexi itself is very cheap.

Hi Verdi, I'm keeping this watch well-away from any RSC, as I've had the original dial, hands, etc. preserved and don't want any changes in that regard. I'm assuming RSC won't sell me a part - that's why I'm asking for a part number so I can find one out in the real world. Thanks.

It took 10 min for me, I waited there. You can go to any rolex authorized service. They’ll have access to parts. I don’t think they’ll sell you the part only.

This forum has cultivated a completely baseless and irrational fear that a RSC will replace all the vintage parts on your watch (inc. hands and dial) with new parts.
Rolex will not change these parts without you giving your approval and crucially you paying for them. Nothing happens for free or without your authorisation. |

Tropic #3 dome is what you need. There're plenty of them on Ebay. |
