GSOTM in the flesh!
Well colour me surprised! Walking past an omega boutique I look in the window and staring back at me is a grey side of the moon! I didn't think they were available until next year but lo and behold there it was. As a DSOTM owner of course I had to go in and try it on.
It is much more silvery and shiny than the pictures give away, very metallic looking. It's very pretty and the leather strap works extremely well with the watch. In fact I am hoping they release a black croc for the DSOTM. It took all my will power not to buy it there and then. I think two of the same model is excessive for me! Now do I prefer the GSOTM to the DSOTM?? Not sure is my answer right now. I think you cannot go wrong with either. Please enjoy some of the pictures! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That looks awesome! I have a soft spot for watches with light color dial and hands / markers that stands out

Wow that looks really good. Surprised how good the lighter dial makes the grey ceramic pop. Which boutique was it?

My first post on this forum; felt compelled to echo just how lovely this watch is, especially the platinum face.
I saw one in the Royal Exchange boutique in London on Tuesday night when they held their Christmas cocktail party - a great event by the way. If I hadn't already blown the budget that night on another piece I probably would have bought this one to keep my DSOTM company. However, I wasn't too sure about the strap - alligator being combined with the rubber insert to cater for the broad ceramic pin/ buckle seemed a slightly strange mix - not an issue on the DSOTM which employs the more casual Cordura. When the funds are replenished I'll be sure to buy a GSOTM next but will more than likely change the strap. |

I like the aesthetics of the dark side of the moon but I think it's too large.

Wow...very nice. Wud not mind to get this to pair it with my DSOTM. Hope to try it out soon.
Btw, the strap is blue? In the promo pics, I recall it's a dark grey strap. |

Looks great. A buddy of mine Has the DSOTM and will be adding this one. I considered but after the buzz kill post of that broken lug on a DSOTM I think I will stick to 1 cermaic watch in my collection until maybe Omega releases a ceramic deployment buckle if ever.

Great looking watch! As much as I love the DSOM, this one is a lot more versatile. I think it would look great on a wide variety of straps and could easily be dressed up/down whereas the DSOM is limited and is firmly positioned in the sports watch category.

Looks really nice, but, between those two, there is a clear winner for me, and it's already on your wrist.

I love it. I think the GSOTM is the only Omega I would buy right now.
I think it looks fantastic in pictures. I can't wait to see it in person.
