Separate the best from the rest - Champions only!
Happy Easter to you all. Just sharing my most recent pick up as I can’t wear it just yet. I don’t know how or have the proper tools to size it myself. Stay safe everyone.
Aloha to you all. |

I’ve sized my Oyster bracelets with a small flat screwdriver. Very simple.

Happy Easter and congrats. Bond with the watch and pick up a nice 1.6mm hollow ground screwdriver and take care of business. Nothing to it if you go slow.

Buy a good quality tool if your doing it yourself. Watch some YouTube videos about how to do it. Please take your time to do this, no rush.

Don’t forget to heat up the part where the screw holds into to loosen up the loctite!

My advice is to pick up one of these for the job: https://www.esslinger.com/horofix-ge...djusting-tool/
It's easy enough, just take your time and work through it...imo it's a safer route than bringing it to a watchmaker or AD, unless you have one you trust, and having them do it. No one will take better care of your Daytona than you will. |

Yeah, honestly I’d rather learn on a different watch. Lol. There is someone here that I do trust so I’m just going to have to wait. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Thanks for the replies! I for sure will invest in some tools though as I do want to do learn how to do the basics. |

If you are very paranoid... Tape off the link, heat the link with a hairdryer first (this will loosen the Loctite), the screw should come out very easy. Remove the link from the longer side so the clasp remains relatively centered. Apply a small amount of Loctite into the link, re-screw, clean off any Loctite that may have oozed out of the link. Very easy. |
