Strap for 5172g
Struggling with strap options for my 5172g. 20/16 sizing part is easy but what color/material? Anyone with the watch have any insight/pictures of theirs?
Here is one I found on a quick search to kick off the conversation. |

I don’t have the watch but with the vintage vibe, I think a taupe calf skin strap or light grey strap would be nice.

I love the blue strap that comes on the 5172 but think it is quite a versatile piece and likely could wear almost any strap well. I love the brown suede in the pic you posted btw.

The AD also recommended this strap as well. |

Hey cool, that’s my wrist!
Right now I’m alternating between a couple of ACM straps (Taupe calf “Zürich” and Grey nubuck “Helsinki”) but the favourite is the OEM strap but fast-patinated using... erm, a knife-sharpening leather strop and some beard oil. https://imgur.com/a/EsquZsV |

Brown suede seems like a natural fit. I think a burnt orange would look good too but not as versatile.

this is a very helpful thread - thank you for sharing those pictures of the alternative straps.
In my opinion the 5172G is very underrated - it is a modern take on the chronograph and is extremely balanced. The 41mm case works (only just) especially with the stepped lugs and the size allows the dial to accommodate the applied numerals perfectly. |

Anyone know if this will fit for the 5170P or is there a custom strap with same material can order? Guess I best ask AD to order if so! Think would be nice option and bit more comfortable.
