Got the call for a 124270
Hey folks,
Just got of the phone with my AD who said they’ve got a 124270 waiting for me… perfect timing considering that I am flying abroad in a few hours… they said they will try to hold on to it and worst case, I’ll get the next one… I currently have a 114270 which I love. I am afraid that I will go through the hassle of selling the 11470 and then end up missing it. Would you do that circle? Is the 124270 an easy watch to sell in case I don’t like it? Please give me some good advice:) Cheers |

Suggest to buy it and then decide if you prefer it over your 114270 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

buy now, decide later.
my personal take: I think the 124270 offers a much better bracelet and 70 hour movement is a big plus, that and the lumed 3/6/9 would push me towards the edge in favor of the new model. Older model I think seems a little more substantial on wrist, which is its major advantage. |

Get it at retail if you can. More classic dimensions. The dial does stand out.

I’d buy it, if holding onto (and potentially keeping) two is financially feasible. If you can get it before your trip, great. Otherwise, pay note, collect later?
I’m sure you could recoup your outlay on secondary market if you hated it. These don’t fetch massive premiums like Subs or GMTs but a BNIB one shutoff fetch at least msrp, I’m guessing. But unless a slightly narrower bracelet really bothers you, I anticipate any 36mm-wearer loving it. At least I do (and this is my first 36). |
