Bracelet question
Hi,
I bought a flat four dated november 2003. I want to wear the watch, but keep it in nice condition as well so I bought a NOS pointed 4 bezel and a NOS bracelet to put on the watch for wearing. The bracelet I bought is much nicer then the original, but from 10-2003, and the original from 8-2003. Is it maybe wiser to keep the original on for wearing, and keep the NOS one for selling? Sounds like you’ve bought the watch to enjoy wearing so get on doing so and stop worrying about a potential future sale
![]() The above said, I can understand preserving the flat 4 bezel assuming that that could not be replaced so if me I’d stick the pointed 4 bezel on and enjoy wearing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Everything with a bezel had a flat 4 back in 2003.
If it is a Sub LV, original parts from that era would yield maximum value. What you sell or don't sell is up to you.

Does it matter to collectors that the bracelet is a replacement. Only 2 months difference it could be the original. The original has been polished. I don’t care which one is on there while wearing. Polished is crap for resale..
Would keeping it all original be beneficial though? Thanks for your replies very much appreciated! |

The Bracelet is Period Correct and two months won’t make a difference

Any replacement, even 2 months difference or the same date code, is not original - unless somebody plans to be dishonest about it. Original does not mean "unpolished", it means what it came with from the factory.

The thing though I shouldn't even be in this position. The watch was sold as being unworn. I could only spot the difference comparing it with the new bracelet. And who could guarantee me the bracelet on the watch is the one from the factory. Same with the bezel I guess.

But as long as my biggest problem in the world is which bracelet to put on my Rolex, I'm good.
