Perezcope strikes again.
This time he discusses the most expensive Omega watch ever sold at Phillips.

A lot of shady activity is going on behind the scenes with these auction houses. Really have to be careful when dealing with them. Quite impossible to have all these vintage pieces appear in those sought after conditions (tropical dials etc) every few months. Likely to have been altered to increase value return.

Yeah, loved his work on the John Goldberger ‘Unicorn’ Daytona. Really eye-opening.

Thanks for sharing, Fabio. Some excellent information here and I'm very much glad this was written. Eye opening to say the least.

This is precisely why I only buy new. I don't trust any of the 'trusted sources'.

Damn you Fabio!!!
I'd never been to Perzcope's site before and read your found this thread pretty late last which led me down a rabbit hole. After about six articles, I finally and reluctantly was able to shut the cover of my laptop at about 2:30am. I can barely keep my eyes open today!!! I don't know how I have missed this dudes stuff, very informative reading. Although I have an interest in vintage, stuff like this makes me weary. |

José up to more of his tricks, talking about Gipsy’s and “ghosts” from China and knowing things “for a fact” and “people in the know”. Followed by posting random photos and asking readers to believe him. Yet somehow all professional publications say otherwise? Only José knows the truth? Anyway, entertaining as always. |

I wonder who owned the watch before this and made all the changes. That dealer or owner (can you call him/her a collector or lover of watches) is a fraud. The work that goes into this, I would love to see a documentary about this.
And Philips gobbles it up again. |
