1978 oyster perpetual Rolex

This is my first post and I am looking to sell my watch. I have a quote from Bob’s and I have no idea if it’s a reasonable offer. They have offered me $2400. I’m worried once I send it in they will lower the offer. Does anyone have any feedback about Bob’s Watches?

Welcome - Stick a photo or two up of the watch as the model ref is everything, and we can deduce it from a few photos. We don't do valuations per se, but can advise on the piece.
Paul Altieri at Bob's Watches I've found to be very upstanding fellow.....but, any dealer will only offer you what they think they can get away with, and it's usually c 70% of it retail but I've known lower and you might get more on eBay especially as $2000-3000 is a good sweet spot for many buyers.

Thanks, TuRo! For the life of me, I can't figure out how to load pics. I searched and see the instructions, but when I go to my control center, there is no place to create the album or add photos.
I'll look around on Ebay and see if I can find any comparisons.

Oyster Perpetual could mean anything. We need more info, and preferably photos. Use the Go Advanced button and then manage attachments. You will need to crop and size the photos properly.

Generally speaking, you will get a lowball offer from Bob's, which is to be expected if you want a quick and easy sale.

I think we will need a little more information, specifically about the material of the case and bracelet.

looks like a worn gold shell 1500.

Ebay will be your best comparison for closer to "retail" value. Given the condition, you probably won't get much more than what Bob's asking for - use Paul's 30% upside guide and thats about it.
