Lost/ Stolen Rolex

Hello all,

Happy holidays. Not sure if this is the right thread to post this. Admin, please move if not in the right place.

In December 2015 I purchased a Rolex 116334, 41mm, dark grey dial, roman numeral. Absolutely loved this watch. Sometime in March of 2021, I went to wear my watch and remembered I had hid my watch in the house since I was going away for a few days later. about two weeks later, I went to retrieve my watch and it wasn't there. For the last three years, I have turned my house inside out. Even went to a hypnotist. No luck. Only two people in my house during those times, were a housekeeper and old babysitter. I have my suspicions, but no proof they stole it. I am in possession of original box and papers. I recently registered it with "The Watch Register", no luck either.

Where else can I check the serial number?

Thank you all.

If you have a lost/stolen watch then the right place is a report to your Police Department. You can use this official report to let Rolex know you have a stolen watch.

Be glad. Ugly watch. The babysitter did it. Lol! I'm guessing this is nonsense, but if it did happen sorry dude.

Talk about playing the long troll game if so.

OTOH, who waits 2 years to report and research lost or stolen serial numbers?

I know, right? A member since 2015. If I had a story like this, I would be reluctant to share it too. I can say, I too have hidden a watch and forgot where I put it, if only for a week.

Where would one begin to explain this story to the cops or an insurance company? The OP doesn't know with enough confidence to really move forward, I would think.

Hiding stuff is a bit silly really. This was what my MIL started doing around the time the dementia started becoming really apparent. Based on that, I would look in your underwear drawer.

Lurker of the century award maybe. Troll? I doubt it. Read the 3 posts.

You should wear your watches, not hide them :p

But if you really have doubts, just report serial number to the police and to rolex and post them here on the forum. I must agree, 2 years is a long time to wait for action.

Sounds like a pitch for a Hollywood movie. Looking forward to the casting of the "old babysitter".

Nope. Best way to keep valuables is to hid it around the house. Or burry it in your back yard.

The name of the thread should be changed to spot the a-hole TRF member

Never understood why long time members on here get such enjoyment in kicking a man while he is down

Good luck OP I hope it turns up somewhere
