WG Daytona on bracelet or oyster flex
I feel that the bracelets will wear much better than the oyster flex. In 15 years will they even have the oyster flex? But the OF version has a glide lock which is great and a ceramic dial which looks great.

OF for a couple of reasons:
1) Love the ceramic bezel, which you can only get on the OF. The WG bezel scratches if you just look at it wrong. 2) The PLC's are scratch magnets as well with PM 3) The OF tones down the look of the watch a bit, making it a little more sporty looking. 4) The glide lock 5) OF is super comfortable These are just my reasons. You must decide what is more important to you as you will be the one wearing it. I would visit an AD or grey dealer and try both on to see which one speaks to you the most. Here's mine... |

I agree with the post above. I was unsure of the OF band as well, it has grown on me quick. Very comfortable, and I actually really enjoy the look. It’s sporty, yet professional. It wears very well.

I see you have the 126519. Now that it has the glidelock clasp, would you mind sharing how big/long is the clasp? Also, does the Oysterflex bracelet still need to be sized to your wrist or is it a one-size-fits-all kinda thing now? Lastly, how long did you have to wait for yours? |

Now that they've put the GL on the 12-series, I would def go OF.

No idea what I would pick
2 different watches, same coffee shop. Have absolutely no idea. The only thing that's consistent here is my croissant and coffee. The balance is tipping to bracelet because it feels special and I love the blue dial. Trouble is I love the OF and I wear it on holiday most years. Its a comfortable watch, its pretty stealth (unless you know) and its actually quite liberating, no metal bracelet or bezel to dent. |

If only one PM Daytona then get full PM bracelet. If multiple PMs, definitely need an OF in the lineup.

Standard clasp on a Daytona = 36.5mm Glide lock clasp on OF Daytona = 42.5mm So the glide lock is just a tad smaller than your standard glide lock on a sub. Your AD will still need to size your wrist and will install the appropriate sized OF (it is NOT one size fits all). I was lucky in that the strap that came with the watch fit me fine. I have a very good relationship with my AD and it only took 4 months to get once I expressed interest. |

For me, it's the OF. I already have one on a bracelet and it seems redundant.

I've tried on this exact reference & I am an unabashed anti-dentite (I don't like Daytonas, but hopefully someone gets the Seinfeld reference...). This is the singular Daytona reference that I would consider wearing. This color/metal combo & the OF just works...

I have a OF WG 126519 and absolutely love it. I already have a Gold Sub on bracelet and a DayDate on bracelet and a 2 tone Datejust on bracelet. So the OF was different and made sense.

Only reason I would pick the OF is because the full PM would be too expensive.

OF. But truly there is no wrong answer, and we all know it. I will say, I wore a WG Daytona (116519) from 2005+ on leather alligator strap for 12 years or so, and loved it. That was before the OF days. Super comfortable and lots of compliments. I have plenty of bracelets on the bulkier subs and gmts, so I reserved the smaller wearing Daytona for strap. Just my .02 worth.
