Which AD's in the UK are losing their Status?
One of my firsts post here so bear with me.
Obviously, it is common knowledge that Patek is cutting 30% of AD's around the world. There are currently 37 AD's in the UK which is probably far too many. I am guessing at least ten will "get the chop" by the end of 2023. I have just learnt that 3 out 4 Watches of Switzerland are to go. (Knightsbridge, Manchester and Mappin & Webb - Regent St) With only the "Superstore" on Regent St left. My predictions: At least one or more Boodles (hopefully Sloane St and Royal Exchange as the customer service is shocking. They are also known for trying to sell you their jewelry. One or two of the Berry's. One in Scotland - maybe Jamieson & Carry. Maybe Leonard Dews due to the location? Blackpool. One Rudells. Don't think you need one Wolverhampton and Birmingham. Laings in Cardiff. Although Patek do like family businesses. Any one any other educated guess? |

There are 10 Patek ADs within a 75 mile radius of Manchester so a few will loose their dealership. You are right certainly they don't need one Rudell store in Birmingham and another one in Wolverhampton Berry's in Victoria Quarter may loose the dealership as well. They have the flagship store in Albion street. What made you think Laings in Cardiff loosing the dealership? That is the only AD in Cardiff and it is a relatively new Patek AD |

I always thought London had too many Patek ADs (compared to a city like NYC which has very few). I always enjoyed visiting WoS and Boodles in London and I hope they keep most of their Patek ADs.
Boodles is an interesting Patek AD as they only sell Patek watches and jewelry and no other watch brand. Great people working there without being too pushy on the jewelry sell. |

The other points are just "guesses". Berry's have spent a lot of money in Leeds. Their Windsor store is pretty poor. Boodles - I have had several bad experiences in their boutiques and I hope they get what they deserve. I went to the Patek Salon in Bond St and even the SA there said they were known for pushing their jewelry and poor customer service. Patek like family businesses - so the "one off" stores might well be safe - especially Pragnells. |

Hopefully, none will lose status. Each AD has loyal customers who they have a warm relationship with and are avid fans of the brand. Unfortunately, that is not too transferable these days within a reasonable timeframe.

My UK ad has said they will be getting a bigger allocation due to multiple stores status being taken this year. but who knows what's true |

I'm not sure what will happen with WoS or other "Groups" who lose stores. Eg. if WoS will still get the same allocation as if they had three boutiques but just sell them through the one store? |

Mappin and Webb according to watch pro is going out of Bond Street and turning into a Tudor boutique so M&W has definitely lost Patek

I can’t believe it … my AD is on this closure list!
I’ll never be able to compete with the London collectors! |

I would not expect them to go they must cover a huge area, lots of Patek owners in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I heard this a couple of years ago and nothing happened. I can definitely see a few Boodles going and maybe a Berry's. |

However, on my last visit the SA did say things will loosen up from around June onwards...I am trying for a reference that is in the 6 figures so hopefully sooner rather than later |

Sad to hear that, they used to be very good but started the bundling practice around 2020 like many other ADs.

Yes it’s a right pain but they know say it’s one classic one for one sports but you can only register if the list is less than two years so I could only register for ladies 24s or the 6007.

Are they still registering customer interest? I thought you said they are loosing the dealership. I hope they don't loose the dealership as it would be tough for them without Patek Philippe.
