Working Vintage Watch Found - Unable to Identify Model
I came across a Vintage Rolex but its well used and the serial and model are not legible. It works, missing the bezel and strap. I was told it could be used as parts but I would not mind fixing it up if possible.
Any idea of model or value? Pics are attached Jason |

I'd guess it's a mid-60s 5513 with the wrong hands and a missing bezel.

Set of hands and a modern bezel would cost much and you will have a nice vintage watch to wear
Crystal can be polished Or sell as is and let someone else sort it out But first take the back off and check the movement |

The damage to the numbers etc is from that strange looking bracelet I would assume?

Looks like a 1964 gilt and be c £4-5k IF engravings can be read with a loop - they look like they could be legible to me.
Caseback should be stamped 64/65. Orig crown and period plexi so try and keep:-) Lot of work to do, but be c £16k with a period/long 5 and bezel, gilt hands and 7206 bracelet, service (about an extra £7-8k to do it all).

Looking at the photos that’s taken a fair beating in its life
I’m always a little sceptical when someone comes along first post with something like this.No reply from the OP since this was posted |

Welcome to the Forum.
Interesting find - if you can get to a watchmaker then photos of the movement and the inside of the caseback might help. Otherwise it's a beater of a watch that appears to have a Sub's dial on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
