John aka Springer
I just got my watch from John today. It is in great condition with thick lugs, clean bezel insert, and without any chips in the crystal. Oh yeah, it came with everything it did when new. There were over 3,248 views of this watch. Perhaps his pics did not do it justice; so I thought I would post some of my pics of this watch to show you the kind of quality you can expect when you by a watch from him. Not bad for a 16 - 17 year old watch. Thanks John.

I always hear comments about not investing in Rolex or buying a Rolex as an investment but always comment otherwise when I read one of these threads here on TRF. A Rolex is a great investment and if purchased right, it will appreciate nicely in the years to follow. There are many examples here from watches that I have sold, that have appreciated substantially since they were sold by me. This Submariner is just one example. I had this watch listed in 2009 for $3400 and sold it for a little less to John (Beaumont Miller). Jump four years ahead to 2013 and a fine example comparable to this Submariner would bring, on average, $5000 to $5200. Not bad for four years appreciation on a Submariner. This is just one example of buying wise when purchasing a Rolex and holds true for many other Rolex models. Hope you are still enjoying that Submariner John!!!

Steve and John (Beaumont Miller) thanks for the kind words and the great Sub pics. They are definitely better than mine. Enjoy the watches, they are both great pieces.

Just received my GMT II with coke bezel form John "Springer". This is my very first purchase on this forum. The watch arrived at my door step in a well packaged box. It came with all the paperwork and hang tags as promised. The watch is in super clean, pristine condition. You'd never know this is a used watch { I will post pics soon}. I would not hesitate to buy from John again. Thanks John, you are a gentleman.

Thank you John aka Springer for selling and shipping to me my new 78360. John was great to deal with and even followed up with me for a shipping location- after I had paid - because he had not heard from me for a while. I will deal with him again in the future and I recommend him to others. Best, Ken

My first Rolex...
I just bought this 1981 Datejust from springer (John). It is a great looking watch, exactly as it was described, in excellent condition.
He is definitely a good person to do business with. If you should buy a Rolex from John, I highly recommend a face to face with him, if you can, because he is so interesting to talk to. Thanks! joele54 |

John is the best!!
I just have to chime in and let TRF what a asset this member is. I bought a GMT from John (aka Springer) over 2 years ago. When the watch started to lose a few minutes a week I started to panic. I called Springer and he had me ship him the watch and had it serviced for hundreds less then Tourneau and Rolex had quoted me. Springer is a great guy that knows his stuff. I couldn't be happier.
Happy 4th everyone! God Bless the USA! |

Wanted to jump on here (a bit belatedly) and say that John is amazing to deal with - I bought a 1981 GMT Master from him a couple of months ago and the process was brilliant.
- Very thorough, massively helpful, all pictures and descriptions were perfectly adequate - Great guy to talk to, and great conscientiousness through payment, etc Thanks a lot John! (Sorry it's taken a couple of months for me to post this). Peter |
