First rolex, ss daytona

For the last few years I have wanted to get a rolex and loved the daytona, I have been on a waiting list and was unsure if when it came to it I could pay that much for a watch, I am not a big earner by a long shot.
Having only seen a used ss white daytona I was underwhelmed and felt nothing when I tried it on, finally got the chance to get a black faced one and thought that I may feel the same and save myself £8k,

I was wrong as soon as it went I my wrist I knew I had to have it, my worry of it been to small was wrong, it is everything I hoped it would be!

I presume, in the absence of photos, the OP is merely commenting on how nice the Daytona black dial example is, and that it will be the first Rolex when the time is right?

Very nice mate, how do you find the dial? Quite a few have mentioned that they've found it hard to read...

The black dial, to me, is more classy than the white dial and certainly isn't difficult to read at all

I have fairly good eye sight (early 30s) so no issues at all, find the light reflects off the hands contrasting well against the dial. Half convinced myself I wanted it as it was hard to get but I can now say if it was in every ad's window I still would have got it.

Congrats! I am so glad you go that jolt of excitement trying it on. If you don't have that, it isn't worth anything.

Enjoy it! It is a great watch. If I could only have one watch it would be a SS Daytona with the black dial.
