Man of Rolex

What does the title mean to you?
Does it mean Captain of industry?
Does it mean a man who has purchased the pinnacle of style and admiration?
What is everyone’s definition of the title?

Shallow.
Why would anybody want themselves to be defined by something they own?

Is this meant to make him a better person than “Man of Casio”.

Hahahaha love it.

I put the question out there as I have seen many views on this point on WUS and was curious about how the Rolex guys (me included) feel about the term.

What does the title mean to you?
You are an unpaid spokesperson for a material product.
Does it mean Captain of industry?
Means you want to be perceived as a captain of industry but more than likely are not.
Does it mean a man who has purchased the pinnacle of style and admiration?
No because he hasn't purchased the pinnacle of either.
What is everyone’s definition of the title?
Maybe a salesperson at a boutique could be considered a man/woman of Rolex...I may just have to change my AD's contact name in my phone

What does it mean to me? It means someone that has hit a milestone in life at home or work etc.
no I’m not a Rolex spy or anything. I have seen lots of different opinions on the title so I thought I’d throw it out there and see what the Rolex dudes think themselves.

To me, it means nothing, without some clarification.

People likely spent more on their college education, car, home, vacation, etc.

Man of UCLA
Man of Bachelors Degree
Man of BMW
Man of House
Man of Trip to Fiji

Hmm, no, I don’t think those phrases make any sense in defining a person.

Man of Integrity
Man of Charity
Man of his Word
Man of Faith

Maybe that comparison is helpful...

With the advent of IG etc, the odds are tilting in favor of him being a superficial, posing Super-douche.

So were you just sending out a trolling question to get additional negative viewpoints that align with your premise?

The OP referenced WUS. He probably came across a prolific poster over there who genuinely writes about what it is to be a “Man of Rolex.” I’ve never been able to figure out if that dude genuinely believes what he’s writing or if he’s just a very committed long-term troll.

Means absolutely nothing to me.

That phrase in not used as anything to gain traction in any way in human society imho. It's like saying a Man Of La Mancha.

Oh, wait, that did mean something. Hmmm.... LOL

My Rolex is for me. it represents a goal/milestone. it reminds me of hardwork. it reminds me of commitments and responsibility.

I've never heard the term Man of Rolex.

It sounds like some poser thing.

Ridiculous.
