40mm... for the ladies!!

I just stopped at a area deli to pick up some dinner. While I'm at the counter, the manager looks at my watch and says "nice watch, I didn't know they made it in a ladies size." I say no, it's the men's size, and tell him maybe he thought it was a Sub and the differences in the crystal can make it look smaller (Way more than he wanted to know).

So he just says, "hmm. Well I've never seen one on a lady before, but now that I do, it sure looks like a ladies size."

You can PM me for the restaurant name and location if you'd like to round up a lynch mob

I think as we see more women wearing men's watches, these sizes are going to be called "unisex."

Probably in the future men and women are going to be rubbing elbows in front of the display of watches. If you think certain models are hard to obtain, now we will have to compete with women on certain models.

Since women celebrities are sporting the Daytona, now I can see why there may be a shortage of these watches. Women want them too

Is this safe to say without being flamed?

SD=women's watch

DSSD=men's model

I'm not really a fan of a man's watch on a woman, I'll give Karis & Jen a pass as I have a feeling they don't wear comfortable shoes

I don't know why you keep insisting that 36mm is a ladies watch! Read David's response.

36mm was the normal size for a mens dress watch, i think Rolex have introduced this size as a womans watch as they see that the market is moving to bigger watches for both men and women.

Come on, Rolexgiants. Who really has the "complex" about this?

I saw a 5 ft tall, petite Japanese woman wearing a 44 mm Panerai the other day and she and the watch looked great together. It looked like Panerai designed it for her; so you'd better go for at least 45 mm to make sure you're wearing a man's watch.

Rolex introduced the Beach Daytona line and the Leopard model Daytona in the last ten years. Does that mean Rolex now considers the Daytona to be a ladies model?

Let me be the first to say I love Lesbians Lipstick lesbians not butch lesbians. I don't want to see a woman wearing plaid, smoking cigars, or wearing big 44mm and above watches. Course some will and have to disagree, do I care? Nope, do as you will. But if your a slim, sexy, and in shape woman and think that 60mm watch looks good on you well sorry but your fooling yourself.

I love my women petite, with big watches and small eyes!

Seriously, any woman with an appreciation for fine watches is a definite eye catcher for me. As for watch size, I've seen some very petite women wear PAMs and look absolutely gorgeous. I think it's more the attitude rather than the watch size that pulls it off.

Of course, if a woman walks around with her fly open, I really wouldn't care what watch she was wearing.

You are dead wrong. It's no change in were mens models "start". It's just a change in were womens models "end"

Oh, NOW you're saying 36mm is unisex. You have persistantly been adamant about proclaiming that 36mm is now the womans size.
There IS a right answer here. It has already been answered well by several people here.
