Any NBA fans out there?

Before I start going into how AWESOME Wade was in his 51 point performance last night in a 3-OT win vs the Jazz, I want to know someone else is sharing my excitement!

Actually - make that 50 points.... and 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks... AMAZING!

And Art 1 - Dwight Howard is one of my favorites, what a guy! He is a human marvel, the Superman!

BTW, congrats on 1000 posts!

Thanks, I didn't even realise my post count. The Magice are building a new arena a few blocks away for the current arena.

Dwight Howard seems to be a nice guy and of course a great player. The Magic practice facility is very close to my home so we see them around, one of them lived across the street for awhile. Glad to see him go as too many cars came and went at all hours.

It would be nice if you could come down for a game.

I would LOVE that - Dwight Howard is definitely in my top 5 fav's. Garnett, of course, is my #1!

I don't watch NBA, but I'm a HUGE college round ball fan. In fact, I'm watching the ACC tourney championship game right now. GO DUKE!!

I watch no other sport but college basketball. But from November until April I schedule my life around the games.

We don't have a team in Cincinnati, so I like several, including the Heat. I was happy that Wade got his ring, but it sucks that everyone sort of dissipated after wards. I don't think they can beat Cleveland or Boston in the playoffs.

However, this household HATES the Lakers, I know they're awesome and Kobe is phenomenal, but they have had enough. And Phil is a sexist prick - just watch him every time he gets interviewed by a woman. I loved him with the Bulls, but now he just seems like a bitter person.

We are hoping for Cleveland or Boston again this year. LeBron is the MAN!

I CANNOT for the life of me get into the NBA. I am NFL and NHL all the way. With that being said, I do get into college tournament-NCAA. If I get motivated, tonight I will put together a neighborhood pool. If there is enough interest, we could do a TRF pool for fun or other. I think ESPN will create private pools for you and the people invited make their picks and the site keeps track of everything. Just a thought.

Everyone is like that in a way.

I love the Lakers but if they were not in the Finals and it was the Nuggets/Orlando, I will be rooting for Orlando.

It's hard to root for one team when you are a fan of the game. I don't get how some people should root for a team that loses so often because they should do them a favor and watch another team. Does that mean jumping ships or being a fair weather fan?

No, it just means they are tired of watching the crap that their team calls basketball....I was just born into Lakers household...lol

Some of my favorite Laker players were on teams that didn't do so well.....

Sedale Threatt- possibly one of my favorite Lakers, when Magic retired, Sedale took over the reigns of point guard. I loved when Chick Hearn says "The thief yo-yos the ball up and down......" He had a nice outside game and was great on defense.

Nick The Quick Van Exel- drafted to the Lakers from Cincinnati. Those guys gave me hope and Van Exel had some memorable games. Very quick and had a smooth 3pt shot....

Eddie Jones- my favorite player @ the guard position...till a guy named Kobe took over the reigns and the organization found their guard for the long term.

ah yes the early to mid-nineties Lakers aka "The NO-SHOWtime" Lakers era. had some wonderful players but as a team got no where..... Divac, Ceballos, Peeler, Christie.....

Henry,

I've given up trying to get through to him.. It angered me at first - but now I realized that you wouldn't get upset at a kid with cerebral palsy for double-dribbling, would you? So I just ignore.

Back in high school I used to party with Nick the Quick (he was already in college), then few years later with Kenyon Martin... Both were super-nice guys until KM found out that I had a thing going on with his girlfriend at the time (now ex-wife)... Boy, was he pissed... But BOY, was she fine!!! I've always had a thing for mixed (interracial) girls...

I do watch Kobe play and he is indeed awesome, I just hate the way he used to be, a selfish prick. Now he has grown up, but I still can't get past it. Love Odom, but cannot stand Vujacic. It does suck about Bynum - I wanted to see what he is all about. With the Lakers, you either love them or hate them, so I am on the latter part of the spectrum.

NBA is okay, I believe the end results are fixed!!! I'm sure it will be a rematch from last years final; Lakers and Celtics. With the Celtics winning in 5 or 6 games!!!
Now I'm not a big College basketball fan but do enjoy watching March Madness. Bring it on!!!

I live outside of Chicago and the Bulls have not been good since Michael Jordon left. As a matter of fact, I would rather watch glue dry then the Bulls!!!
I do like KG of the Celtic and Tim Duncan[sp] of San Antonio.

Who just saw Krypto-Nate's put back dunk? Since the all star break behind Kobe, LeBron and Wade, Nate is #4 in scoring..unbelievable!
