Help! Jubilee strap for a BLNR. What watch do I need?
Hi, first post here. I was lucky to get my dream watch a week ago, a beautiful BLNR.
Although I am a huge fan of the watch as it is, I really want a jubilee strap on it. I am keen to get one new but the dealer I got it from has said it cannot be purchased without them taking my stock strap in (sending it off to Rolex) or a load of hassle. The question I have is, what watch can I buy new to get the jubilee strap? Will a 36mm Datejust do the job? Will the lugs/connector fit straight onto the BLNR or will I have to spend a load of time sourcing a connector? I am 100% certain on buying a new watch rather than sourcing a used jubilee strap. I will add a leather strap to the watch I buy as replacement for the jubilee. Thanks in advance, been on this website a while and you all seem incredibly knowledgeable on this brand. |

You need the 36mm datejust with super jubilee. If you're after the super jubilee alone, you need to source the part number reference 63600.

True! But 63200 has less adjustable links in case OP has smaller wrist. Otherwise yes both part references work just fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Thats amazing, thanks for the help. Will the lug/connector fit straight onto the BLNR with the springbars all going into the same place? Meaning there is nothing I need to do other than buy and change strap?
Thanks |

Use the spring-bars that come with the Jubliee bracelet on the 36mm DJ (when you purchase the new watch) not the BLNR ones, as they won't fit.
It's a direct swap, I did this with my BLNR. Good luck

Unless you buy the whole watch not sure an AD will let you source just the bracelet - or as I know it, they shouldn't. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Above replies are 100% correct. You need the 36mm datejust and the springbars that come iwth it.
This is a popular mod that many love. I tried it but couldnt live with it for more than a few weeks. Althogh the super jubliee is great, it just looked too small for the my GMTIIc. its something i noticed almost immediately and it knawed at my throughout the experiment. Returned to the og oyster and havent looked back. just my 2c. |

Thanks all, will use the datejust springbars. I plan on buying the whole watch, taking the jubilee strap off and buying a Rolex leather strap for the Datejust head.

Yes, gives me the option later to put it back on. I always like to have a couple of options in the strap department for each watch.

Congrats on the batman. Amazing watch.
Do you think the jubilee bracelet will look good on it? I have a feeling that jubilee are more of classical /dressy nature which doesn't suite the casual /sporty character of the blnr. Or maybe I am wrong |

I don't think the jubilee is any more dressy than the PCL's already present on the BLNR....... it worked for a lot of ole-timers on the pepsi

Thanks for help everyone. Always been a Breitling man but saw one of my colleagues with it on and decided I had to have, with some thanks from an amazing dealer, I got one quite quickly!
I wear this watch with a suit, don't wear it casual so feel the strap will go. Plus, I want something a bit different. I wear my Navitimer with a Superocean Heritage Milenese strap which many people see as a risky combo! I can always take it off if I don't like it or get bored and put it on the date just! Rolex's are crazy addictive! |

Congrats on your new BLNR!
A side question that those in the know might be able to answer: Is the jubilee band safe to handle the weight of these diver watches? These are bulkier and heavier watches compared to their old (5 digit) brothers of the past that might have come from factory with jubilee, no?

Thank you, loving the watch, my Navitimer is getting a lot less wrist time!
I would be interested to the know answer to that question as well. Certainly, will get some added. I imagine these are readily available so won't have to wait to get the watch. |

Keep an eye on the Classifies/Acessories on this forum. The Jubilee bracelet comes up for sale every now and then but they go fast. Figure around $1800 US.

Thanks Ras47. Im thinking buy the watch, they are around £5800 in the UK. I could likely get a deal because they have them in stock, meaning the watch head is about £3700 with a discount.

Yes, small wrists! It seems like I have a good amount of options though.
