Finally Explorer

Hi guys! Finally I bought the Explorer 214270 few days ago from local authorized dealer, not great price no discount though
However, I’m very happy with it, thanks for the help and suggestions guys, I read every post and value your sharing very much!

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...=606841&page=2

This is my first Rolex, the funny thing is when I bought it, I didn’t feel the same excitement as I bought my Speedy, but deep down I know it’s a watch to wear for lifetime, the lume is fantastic!

The lumed Arabics are awesome on this newer releases vs the WG Arabic’s from point of view of lume and balance.

That said all Explorers are awesome all-around watches.

My older release says Hi to yours and wish you best of health wearing yours.

Thanks mate, I haven’t seen the Mk1 214270 (I heard it’s a collector’s choice), in fact I haven’t seen anybody wearing the 214270 lol
I only saw a Japanese tourist wearing a 114270 in a ramen restaurant, it’s a beautiful watch for sure, the proportion just right, however the newer bracelet is a master piece

be interested to hear the accuracy of your explorer.

mine started off about +1 sec per day, wearing ALL day, morning to bed time. now it seems maybe 1/4 to 1/2 sec per day. i put it crown UP about every other night and she is SPOT ON atomic clock. have owned her over a month now and have not set her since i set her at the AD to the atomic clock, spot on.

amazing. i may have gotten lucky with the much better than +2/-2.

I have a brand new 214270 as well and I'm seeing almost exactly +0.75 seconds per day. After three weeks she was 15 seconds fast.

Mine is running +0.1 sec/day in the last month. Wearing during the day, crown up at night. Very happy with the accuracy.

Congrats on yours by the way! It looks great on your wrist!

one other thing, have not have a single person ask me if she is a rolex or comment on her in the month since i got her. she really flies under the radar. wonder if i bought the submariner if that would be the same. be an interesting experiment. someone send me a sub and i will find out. lol (i bought her instead of the sub, i have enough dive watches, she is more classy IMOP, that is subjective though)

You’re right, nobody noticed, not even my family members except my wife lol
That’s one of the reasons I like the Explorer, one of my other choices was JLC Reverso but it was too delicate to wear daily.

One of my close friends has Sub 114060, very classic,(they are everywhere) it would pair with my Speedy nicely too, however the shock absorber is quite important to me, and I like how Explorer flies under radar.

The accuracy was plus 1.5/day so far, but I only got it recently so can’t judge yet

I have both a subc and an exp I lume numerals. NOBODY ever in two years says squat to me. It's great.

Same for me - I have both and have never received a comment. Both are classy, under the radar timepieces!

Congratulations, It works well on your wrist. I have the smaller 36mm. I love the new lume and bracelet too. You can't go wrong with an explorer.
