Eye candy for the class (sorry for starting controversial thread!)

Well friends, it seems I upset the universe by starting a thread with the simple question of whether people who had bought at recent high prices looked at their purchases any differently now that the market is "supposedly" softening. To try to make up for that, I thought I would offer the class some eye candy of my recent acquisitions. Thank you (and sorry) to everyone who contributed to my other thread! I traded the Patek for the Smurf recently, so it's gone, but included for the fun of it.

I can't get past the red smudge over those serials... An eyesore, really.

But in your defence, these are some pretty sweet references you've got there...

Nice collection. I'm glad you did the trade for the WG Blue Sub.

Thank you! I was stressed about letting the Patek go, but I didn't wear it and had my eyes on the Smurf for awhile. I think when a person lets the 5167 go in favor of the Smurf, the pretty clear takeaway is that the Patek wasn't colorful enough!

Ha, sorry about that! I wasn't sure how to safely address that. I guess I could have color coded it.

Thanks, I think you will enjoy the red. Some people have been known to add a little red paint to increase the price of their luxury goods, such as shoes, so I think you're on to something there.

Some great watches in there! But I'm not sure the CIA with their technology could decipher your serial numbers on the rehaut from the angle of your pictures.

my fav pic out of the bunch is actually the OP, which happens to be the one pic without the red scribble. Coincidence?

I don’t get it - is under the red where a serial number is visible?

Nice collection OP! I personally like the stainless steel Daytona with black dial the most out of all of them, but they're all amazing

I'm wondering if a Rolex serial# happened to get into the hands of a bad actor, could something malicious happen? I've always noticed blurred serial numbers but never understood the reasoning behind it. Back on topic, I'd say the trade to the Smurf for the Patek was a good call, hell I'd be happy with a one watch collection with the Smurf alone! haha
