The next Tudor Pelagos...

According to me the next Pelagos will be a left hand drive Pelagos 39 black dial with double red text.

Yes, I think this is the most popular view and I would like to see a blue one myself. You may be right that the blue could come next but a double red Pelagos is coming...

In the meantime let's admire the current one.

I'd love to see the next Pelagos 39 with a date function. That would make me want to get another Tudor. It bugs me so few Tudor sport models have that complication and it comes with either a GMT or Chrono function. The 41mm Steel BB had a date but that model was in the catalog for only a short time.

I'd love to see a black face with a blue bezel. I like the 42 better than the 39 though. I wouldn't mind if they offered a Diet Pelagos 42 though...42 mm but with the thickness of the 39. I would happily take the reduced depth rating and no He escape valve for the thinner profile.

So are you saying this is a definite? if so when is it happening? Presumably you have a source within…

Forgive me, but when you say double red, are we talking like the SD with two lines of red text? Why would they bother with that? Seems like they’d need to change something beyond just that no?

Yes correct, two lines of red text, plus crown on the left. More details to come - it will be made in collaboration with another organisation.

I’d offer a contrarian position to the general consensus that the P39 will follow the same lineage and evolution as the 42mm.

Would Tudor be that lazy to simply follow the same path as it’s bigger brother?? I suppose the simple answer is yes but would it be so??

To release a blue P39, would be very predictable and certainly provide an open goal to all the Tudor naysayers to come out with ‘Tudor is simply copying the 42mm etc etc’. By going down this route does the P39 then become a homage watch to its bigger brother - everything that the P39 as a modern diver shouldn’t be.

Tudor are (and have been) pretty bold in their releases. Did anyone really see the BB54 coming?? I assumed that the BB line was done & dusted at 39mm so that’s me dropping the ball with my assumptions.

I’d like to see Tudor, should they issue another iteration of the P39, do something that the general consensus doesn’t actually predict.

I am hoping for a stainless steel version at some point. I haven't tried the titanium but I think I'd prefer the relative heft/weight of SS.

The Pelagos 39 is basically (I'm not saying this pejoratively) a titanium BB58, so wouldn't the BB58 be what you're after?

I really don’t get the fascination with the BB&Faux Rivets company. They look disappointing to me. Trying to be open minded I tried them a few times but they are either too thick or too weird to my taste.

This is not a Black Bay, it's a Pelagos. The bracelet does not have rivets, and it is not thick.

Having said that Tudor have gone way over board on the Black Bay line. Personally I prefer the older Tudors like the Advisor and the Prince. Here's a picture of the Pelagos 39 to show the height and a couple of other Tudor pieces.

Tudor just ain't for you, pal. What's so hard to understand?

Those latest pics are amazing!

Tudor: please release an SS version of the P42 and P39!

Agree. They scream 'homage'. Black Bay as a sub brand is dead to me. However Pelagos is perfection!

Maybe. Green is the next color that Tudor will move toward. I would like to see a 42mm Pelagos in a version of the Harrod's Green.

Pretty sure the next Pelagos will have something done to it which will make me even happier than I already am with what I've got.

I think the Blue 39 too is too obvious.

Anyone else have trouble keeping their Pelagos in pristine condition? I find it so difficult to avoid getting scratches on mine. I wish they would have at least made the case out of Grade 5.

Yes it is a scratch magnet. It can be refinished with an eraser though. I would also much prefer grade 5.
