The Official Datejust II Owners Club

I did a search on this Forum to confirm if a such a thread exists or not and could not find anything. So, with that being said, I think it is long overdue that a thread dedicated to the Datejust II be started.

This is a fantastic watch. A modern classic, if you will. It has a large 41mm dial which reflects current trends, but has the classic fluted bezel which the is a Datejust staple.

Below is a picture of my beloved Datejust II 116333 with one of the best dial combinations Rolex has ever produced. My opinion of course.

Let's see what the rest of you have!

More to do with size. If it's not 41mm in diameter, it's not a II. Most think of the original Datejust as 36mm, although you'll find 31mm and 26mm.

The Datejust II was introduced in 2009, from what I recall. I picked up mine in mid 2010. Your model form '98 is definitely a Datejust.

Love the ivory dial. When I was on the market for the DJ II, it came down to the ivory stick dial and the slate green roman dial. Went with the slate, but still love the ivory.

Gorgeous photos all. I especially like that 116333 Eric, with the green Romans. Yummy.

Wish I could play but I just traded mine in to belong to another club....

Thanks Larry. When I saw the slate and green roman dial, I knew I had to get it. Too bad you traded yours in. Which DJ II did you have? Hopefully the trade was for another Rolex.

I have one, but it's for sale now.

The case is just too similar to my Daytona.

I do love a fluted bezel though.

Hi,

I've got a question. I also bought exactly this watch. After some reading on the internet i am not sure, if there are two versions of this watch? One is slate grey dial and there is another with black dial? Do you know if this is correct or its just the light, which influences the color?

There's another thread, it's called DJII wrist shots or something. I'll play here as well since the DJII is my fav reference.
My first

Then I just had to get this one
