I've tried on both side by side- it's a draw, each with their own benefits.
The older case size subs are my still my preference ..

Not a fan of any ceramic insert watch and not too keen on the new style case so my choice would be the 14060 or 14060M.

I prefer the classic style 14060 or 14060M. Better looking case, dial, and non-ceramic bezel...along with lug holes - - make it a no brainer.
Also, for those with smaller wrists - personally I did not like the way the SubC fit or looked. 14060 is much more comfortable.

I think those old subs represent great value for money! Having said that I did try the new one and it felt good. especially the bracelet with sel... Go old skool and be a bit different!

114060 is my choice, though. |

unless some kinda vintage guy, why not get the newest model with the most updates
the ceramic bezel is better, the lume is better, the case is better, the clasp is better not sure why you would get an older model if you can afford the newer one as Mike says very different models as you can see this is my opinion and I am not a vintage guy |

Steel vs. Ceramic has been discussed ad nauseum - so I won't even touch it. Though the maxi-dial clutters up the watch - IMHO.

if you ever see them both posted together the new one looks significantly beefier which I like and others don't so just pointing out a difference ![]() and should have mentioned maxi dial thanks, also love that improvement! as you don't ya must be old school ![]() just like lug holes, people love em, I have watches with them, personally I don't like them I think the OP original question was to address what one and why so mostly pointing out the differences and letting him make up his mind is a good plan ![]() |

I like both of these models but the 114060 gets my vote because of the glidelock clasp. The glidelock clasp might just be the greatest invention EVER.

114060 by leaps and bounds. Everyone talks about the upgrades, bezel, bracelet, maxi-dial and case...and their preferences for one over another based on those criteria.
I just like the fact that the glare on the dial face is significantly less on the 114060. |

Definitely applaud the improvements but in this case, gotta go classic. Nothing better on a NATO than a solid two liner.

Definitely love the upgrades on the Ceramic version, especially the bracelet. Most do not approve the changes to the case though. Ideally, 114060 on bracelet and 14060 (lug holes) on NATO or a nice vintage leather.
