Electric Blue SMP
Tonight I played with a nautical theme for my electric blue Seamaster Professional quartz watch. As my friend, Fr. John says, the electric blue just smiles at me. Cheers, Bill P.

Very nice Bill! I haven't worn mine for a while, time to get it back on the wrist.

The Chrono on a new Blue Hirsch Leonardo Principal strap. What do we think? Not actually attached yet, as I didn't realise I need thinner spring-bars. Doh! Now I'm stuck in british snow, with no way of getting hold of some until it thaws!

Bill-
Great looking watch. There is something about the "wavy" blue dial which really sets this watch apart! |

In 2006 I visited and AD with the intention of buying a Bond GMT and saw the electric blue for the first time. Instantly the Bond blue became "blah blue" and I bought my first 2255.80. I say "first" because I flipped it a year later to help fund my EXPII but I missed it so much that I bought a second one in 2008. It is my fun watch and always makes me smile: Sometimes I wear mine on the Hirsch blue Mobile strap or the Principal shown here: But it gets noticed the most of all my watches when I put it on the Omega mesh: It's a shame Omega discontinued the electric blue but I have mine and I'm happy. Peter, I agree, it is very difficult to get the waves on the dial of the Seamasters (blue or black) to come out right.
I use a light box, a tripod mounted camera with a cable release and a 60/2.8 macro lens. Then I take lots of pics and only show the good ones! Cheers, Bill P. |
