The Submariner Owners Thread...

Well...in light of these threads popping up, I thought I would start one for the classic Rolex we all love...

THE Rolex Submariner

5508, 5512, 5513, 14060, 14060M...

Post your pics, your love...your questions and comments here.

Personally, I would love to see some Subs on leather...

I did attempt a search for a similar thread and could not find one, so my apologies in advance if one already exists.

My 14060M:

I thought this thread needed a bit of 'bumpage' to gather more Submariner owners to the fold!

I dunno. I'll keep playing with it.

How many others on here have an 18mm Corvus Bond? I bet there aren't too many.
How's that strap working out for you? I feel kind of responsible...!

Indeed, but for that you must buy a Submariner Date, not a Submariner!

Maybe start a Sub-DATE thread...

Someone forgot the 1680, this is the rare white 1680, not as common as the red as seen so frequently on this forum.

Sorry about that...!

Okay, I apologize for the lack of explanation - but yes, this is the Submariner Owners Thread...not the Submariner DATE Owners Thread!

All of you cyclops owners...

Excuse me but I think it is the "Non-Date Submariner" thread.

So if someone were to post something like this, would poor old Bart's head explode or does the mooning cartoon character understand that there can be a date and no cyclops?

Not posting my 1680 Red out of protest. I'll make sure to let you know when we do a thread entitled, "Submariners: Plexi only".

I fear you have missed EC1's point...

He doesn't object to the clyclops per say, but to the date complication...

What many seem to be missing in the OP is that this is the SUBMARINER thread, not the SUBMARINER-DATE thread!

No, you missed -my- point, which was twofold:

-I don't like the exclusive nature of this thread as it's not in keeping with the general accepting atmosphere here

-If he's going to list what he excludes, he should be thorough. Just saying "no cyclops" is not adequate and is either careless or a sign that further study is required.
