Odysseus vs. Nautilus?
So Lange jumps into the stainless fray...what do all you think, will this be a worthy challenger to King Nautilus? Speak up, let the games begin.

Considering the negative comments on TRF under the ALS thread this is going to be a huge hit!!! With UJ out recently and now this at least there is some choice. I think the movement beats PP hands down but the rest of the watch I doubt will have me begging for an allocation

I’m coming around to it to be honest.
I think the bracelet might look better when you can see it interact with light. Love the movement and the day date functions with pushers.

I don't hate the case, dial and colour ..... but... The bracelet is hideous, the dial isn't special enough and more important, 30K+ euro is absurd for a brand that loses 25% value the moment you leave the AD
So, nope also not for me |

Not a huge fan - yet.
Time will tell. Everyone thought the Nautilus was an AP knock off when it first came out. The Aquanaut was sneered at until around 2011. You have to a hand it to ALS though, new watch-new movement. Also, the way way you add and remove links from the bracelet is pretty dope. |

The dial? Why not...
The movement? Sure! The rest? No way... In some respects it looks like a prototype rather than a finished product, especially regarding the integration or rather non-integration of bracelet and case. Might look better on a strap w its conventional lugs. As a means to attract new customers to the Lange brand this will be a dud I am afraid. But I am sure some Lange lovers will feel an urge to add it to their collection of greater Lange pieces. |

As much as I am fan of ALS, this is sure loser IMO. And the price is just way too high.

This reminds me what people said in the 80’s about APRO and Nautilus... and then things changed! Just give it some time to sync in.

If it wasn't a blue dial and had a rubber strap option too and perhaps was $20k USD...maybe.

If this was retail priced in-line with the RO instead of the nautilus I'd be more interested. 28k for a steel sports watch that's not PP is nuts

I love my Glashutte Senator Chrono..........the finishing on the case, movement, attention to detail is phenomenal. And ALS as a brand is on par with PP in the dress watch category. You can say they goofed by making this watch at a price point that was too high and I agree totally with others who like the dial and movement, but not much else. But to say the Germans can't make a good watch is just not true. |

No it won't. The Nautilus bracelet is nicer and it's got more legacy behind it. The Lange on a strap would be a hit I think. Especially on rubber. I would get one if it came on a strap, I have no interest in owning the bracelet.
