Anders, that's a fantastic and very pretty babe you have there and thanks for your expert advice the other day. Decided not to pull the trigger on that particular opportunity but definitely on the look out for a full package rootbeer. Very cool

Anders, my friend by no means I am trying to steal your thread. However, after looking at your Rootbeer on an Oyster bracelet and mine on a Jubilee I need to hear from everyone which one do you guys prefer? Oyster or Jubilee?

I've been considering getting an Oyster bracelet for mine but I am not sure yet.

Thanks Steve! You made a good call, it just didn't seem or feel right that one... think it's still around too

no worries mate, it's all good.

Personally, the Root Beer is the only TT watch I like...

And it looks much better on an Oyster IMO. It works better with the case, and if it's a nipple dial, then with the hands and hour markers... don't find the same kind of 'integration' with the Jubilee.

Yours would look amazing on an Oyster... a brand new Oyster is around £1300 inc Vat... I have all the ref details etc at home, can post them later

VIntage Jubilees also tend to be really stretched and they bite into your skin.. a Super TT Jubilee won't fit unfortunately, well it will, but there will be a massive gap and it will look far from flush..

I kind of agree with you. I always wanted the Rootbeer on Jubilee and now that I have it I wish it would have an Oyster bracelet. I guess we are never happy with what we have!! Please PM me the details of the right Oyster bracelet I need for my puppy.

Thanks in advance,

Hal

Hi Hal

Here are the details of the Oyster bracelet. Rolex UK wrote them down for me when I brought the Root Beer in for an insert change.

The long number is the catalogue number, so as long as you quote that, you'll get the right Oyster and flush fits for a 16753 GMT.

£1025 + VAT is £1230 and since then (April 2011) the price has probably gone up to £1350'ish inc VAT

It used to be mine until I saw the pics posted by Anders (puffy). I might just get the Oyster one and rotate every once in a while.

Truly a gorgeous example.

I am partial to the two-tone Jubilee, but this looks very nice indeed.

AAaaaggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every once in a while I get the bug for one of these and can never find what I want in good condition for a good price. I prefer the jubilee myself but would probably swap it out every once in a while.

Now I may go looking again........

Awesome looking watch!

Very nice! And the Milgauss GV next to it is beautiful too.
Also, I'm wondering what kind of watch storage box you have in the picture; its very nice and I would love to get one like that.

Hal, I'll get the Oyster bracelet details for tomorrow...

In the meantime, here is a shot of the Root Beer in its natural habitat.... in the softdrink aisle at Waitrose
