Refound lost love

The title says it all… For already a few months I was wearing only my Rolexes, Having been away for 15 days my watches, except BLNR, were on the safe at the bank.

When I came back I only got after 1 month 2 watches, my 233K and my sub C, so it was 1,5 months without wearing a Pam.

Don't know why when I got it back I didn't like it, seemed way too big and ridiculous, was even ready until today to sell the 233, but 2 hours ago, wearing the 233 since yesterday night, it struck me::: this watch is way too cool, what was wrong with me to want to sell it????

So it seems I'm back in the Pam Game

Good for you Arnaud! The 233 is a very unique Pam, it is very imposing, I love that watch! If you sold it you possibly would miss it so much and a few months later you would be starting a new thread of buying your second 233.

My 3 Rolexes as great but are regular production models, so nothing particular there, my Pams are out of production, my 233 "dot dial", and 82, 28, special limited editions, especially the 82 Marina Militare which is a "shadow case", don't know why but didn't want to wear any until today...

Bottom line, need both Rolex and Panerai. Great choice!

Although not a "dot" my Pam 233 will be the last to go. I had an "I" series awhile back and sold it, only to obsess over the watch again. I find that my Rolex watches are great to wear daily, but I really enjoy how flat on the wrist the 233 sit and how comfortable it also is to wear daily because it slides perfectly under my shirt sleeves without getting caught up. Plus I would definitely miss the strap game.

For me it's just the 2 best "sporty" watches in that price range, what I love about my Pams is the fact that they are not so common, there were 3500 for 233 dot dials, 1000 for the 28 and 300 for the 82, even much less since it's a "shadow case" watch and usually they never did more than a maximum of 12 for each series, so very different feelling, love the Rolexes, but the Pams give me the impression of wearing rare or practically unique watches, I mean apart in a Panerai convention how many chances do you have to cross someone with a real 82 or 28 in real life? I would say close to ZERO…

I have bought and sold quite a few Panerai's in the past few years including the 233 (3 times)... I always end up missing my 233... It's my favourite Panerai!
