Sub-C climbs Everest
My Everest band arrived yesterday.
I bought a RubberB after I got my Sub-C from SavidSW and was disappointed in the fit. I am not huge, but the band was in my opinion tiny. It only fit on the last opening, which left no room for adjustment. I was a bit apprehensive about its arrival since no specs are listed on the website for length. I spoke with the company before I pre-ordered, and was assured "it will fit". Prior to install, I did a side by side comparison and the Everest is a little longer on both pieces. It also comes with spring bars, but not as strong as originals. I removed my Oyster Bracelet and installed the Everest. I am pleasantly surprised. The band fits nicely on the 4th notch in (leaving room for a wet-suit / swell of body). Fit and finish are nicely done. It fits the watch as well as the RubberB. I still think they price is WAY high for what you get. It is imho "hey this guy is willing to spend $7,000 plus for a watch, he won't bat an eye at our $200 price tag. Anyway, am I happy with the purchase? Yes! Do I like it more than the Rubber B? Yes! (only due to it being longer and therefor fitting me better) Gratuitous wrist shot as I sit at my desk avoiding work. |
