I'll still wear it until the case is completely gone, if you heard crazy stories of AP carbon wear feel free to post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks great to me! I've seen some pics of beat up FC bezels but I've had no negative experiences to this point.

Did you hit it? What is causing the wear?
I love FC. Owned the 44 twice and both times I let it go due to wear related concerns, especially around the sharp bottom case edges and close to the screws as you mention (second time I had a small chip in the case ... came that way out of Le Brassus for all I know). Still love the material and it kills me to see my old pictures!

If I sell it honestly I have no clue what to get instead , already own a nautilus and a aquanaut from Patek from AP blue dial ROC? Don't need a jumbo already have a RO. The 44mm in ceramic I don't see it worth the price bump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I love the brand but I am pretty fed up to be honest. The problem is that there is nothing else that calls my attention ... though if it comes back in anything less than pristine shape, I will have to reconsider that. I had warranty work done on a previous 44, and the results were less than stellar.

Maybe it's time to go for a VC Overseas – 3-hander or chronograph. |

Oh man i LOVE both the nautilus and the aquanaut I can't see myself selling them anytime soon, I will agree with carbon not being the best material for watches but it seems that AP don't have the right coating and production techniques to keep it to their "standards". Sometime soon I'll sell the FC when I get bored of it and that time still has to come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My FC diver looks brand new after two years. I have gone Scuba diving with it 20+ times and swam, hiked, biked, and worn it without regard to keeping its "plastic" case pampered. The watch looks showroom new.
YMMV! |

Like my man Serg, I LOVE the FC and wore mine almost daily for 3 yrs. tbh, never noticed a diff till I saw a new one and seen the sharp case lines were not nearly as sharp anymore. I will still get another one w/o a seconds thought though!

I'm a big fan of FC but given I have a couple extra cases I'm happy to do some more controlled tests if anyone wants. |

Thank you for your candid comment. This pretty guarantees I will not get a FC cased AP.

really sorry to hear about/see the wear and tear...
I don't know much about the manufacturing process of FC, but mine litterally looks like I just took it out of the box - even under a loop. |

edit: Isn't forged ceramic supposed to be incredibly hard? What did you do to chip it? |

No I didn't chip just through general/heavy use and I went swimming every day straight in a whole week. I've seen carbon bezels completely worn down which look crazy worn out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's completely the wrong material to fabricate a watch case from, even if the resultant look is considered uber cool. Resin is soft, therefore friction will have a greater effect. |

i would definitely sell it as fast as possible and keep the cash until i found something else I would want to buy. At least i would have the funds on hand. It would really bother me, the wear and tear on such an expensive watch.

I have a separate account for only watches and I can get a Dato up down now so the funds don't bother me , I think I can sell the 44mm for around $23k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
