Please help me decide!

I current have the OP 39 in blue and thinking of flipping it for either the Submariner ND or the DJ II. But I'm having a hard time deciding which to get, as I like them both equally! FYI I have a fairly small wrist.

It would be good to hear some of your opinions.

I love the DJ2. But prefer the sub.

Depends on your needs. Are you sport, do you need a timing bezel?

Have you tried them on? Both wear fairly large.

With a small wrist, why not a regular DateJust?

I've tried on the regular DJ, 36 seems a bit small even with a small wrist like mine. I think my OP 39 is the smallest I would go, so I've crossed the reg DJ out of my list, even though I quite like the jubilee bracelet.

I'm not much of a sport person, but I do like the rugged appearance and the all brushed links of the Sub, at the same time I also like the fluted bezel of the DJ II for its classiness! I've tried the DJ II at my local AD but I haven't had a chance to try the Sub, as most AD here don't have it in stock.

Have you considered an Explorer?

Ex1 or 2? I've thought about the Ex1 when I first purchased my OP, but now I'm looking for something else, it is too much like my OP. As for the Ex2, I'm just not into its all-metal bezel, if it were ceramic then I would seriously consider it.

The sub and OP are a good combo, imo. See if you can swing keeping it and add the sub
Bad pic below

I'd try and keep the OP and go for the Sub ND...(since I have a DJ).. but that depends on funds of course...
You may regret giving up the OP later on... just my opinion..

Well, first off you need to decide if you're a one watch guy or do you want multiples.

If you're going to be a one watch guy, then go sub...hard to beat as a one and only. If you are going the multiple route, add the sub. As stated, the sub and the OP would be a great pair.

I think you've made it a bit easier now, I am a one watch person and now that I think of it, the ruggedness of sub should be able to withstand the test of time.

I think it depends what kind of guy you are. The Submariner is a great everyday watch for me....my job is a bit physical, so im not too worried about a few dings/scuffs/scrapes. If I had more of an office type job I would go DJ2 because there are more higher polished surfaces. Not to mention the bexel on the DJ2 pops like crazy!

Something to think about

The bezel pops on the DJ2?? Is this a common problem for this model?

Pops = Attention, it does not literally pop out.

All 3 watches, to include your OP are lovely so the choice can only be to go with what your heart is telling you. If me, and I hadn't already bought the OP then I would probably be drawn to the non-date SubC. But, and for me an important but, I would find it very difficult to let go of any watch I had already purchased for sentimental reasons, particularly if the OP is the first ever Rolex you have bought. The first purchase is so much more than just the watch and it is where your heart lead you. Just my thoughts and good luck deciding! AM.

Thank you all for your valuable opinions, I am now leaning more towards the Sub after some thoughts and your comments. I have put down my name on the waiting list at my AD, will see when they will have it, hopefully not too long.

That'd be my choice, particularly if you are a one watch guy, Sub is a good all around IMO.

Best all around if you have some extra $$ would be a SeaDweller (just make sure to buy "right" on it).

That's a tough choice my friend. Personally I would wait to see what is released at Baselworld. I am hoping a DJ 40mm.

This is exactly the predicament I was in. I honestly wanted a DJ2 with the fluted bezel. I'm a general contractor so I wanted an everyday watch. I thought I was sold 100% on the DJ2. As I finally went to try them on...the sub ND called my attention more. This was my first Rolex watch purchase BTW. I already own some Tags with dates on them. So guess what? Today I closed the deal and already wired money for a mint condition sub ND from a trusted seller here. I shall be getting it tomorrow. Sounds to me like you want a sub ND. Do it. You can always add the DJ2 later. I plan to buy a DJ2 next year or so. Anyways lets us know what you decide. BTW what also helped me decide was this forum. Reading others who have bought the sub ND and many pictures. Plus so many bloggers articles on the sub ND when you search google. Iconic. Everyday watch. Wear with anything. Tool watch. Done deal.

Thanks for sharing your story! I will def post some pictures once I have made my final decision and also depend on the availability of AD.
