Did your client notice your watch?
Hi guys, share your experience how your client react to your watch in the beginning or middle of the transaction, or most of them are not really noticing at all?

The only watches of mine that have been commented on by clients are my Panerais. Not really surprising though because Rolex are all over the place here.

I'm not sure what you mean but that's exactly the Sub I have ordered two and a half months ago and I'm tired of waiting. Should have know "1-2 months" estimation was too optimistic.

The "Crown" is the only brand I wear that EVER gets noticed. I can have a watch on that's way more valuable or significant and associates/clients are uninterested...funny how that works...outside of the sheer beauty and craftsmanship, some times I wear a Rolex for shock value... D.J.M.!

I just had a client Friday ask if I was wearing a rolex and I replied yes and she replied that's a lot of money to spend just to tell time hell I just look at my cell phone.

40 years and I have never had anybody comment on my Rolex watches beyond "nice watch", and even that is rare.
It's a very small fraction of the world that would be able to tell that you even have a Rolex on, unless you stick it in their face. ![]()

I've never had a client notice.
Just a few days ago though I noticed one of he wholesaler I do business with was wearing a 16610 sub. I commented on it and complimented him. He then asked if I was wearing a Daytona, which I was. We had a nice watch convo. It was great talking to another professional who appreciates watches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Been wearing my rolex submariner date every day since I bought it on 9/9/17. Not had any compliments at all.

Been wearing Rolex for around 7 years now and can count on one hand how many times someone has commented on my watches. Almost never happens. And never had any clients comment on any watch.

I found IWC Big Pilot (with a huge onion type of crown) and Panerai (with a bridge type of crown guard) could draw more attention than any Rolex SS sport watches.

In NYC law and finance Rolex's are all over the place -- almost a pedestrian and unimaginative choice. You're more likely to get noticed with a novelty Mickey Mouse watch.

In eight years of wearing a Rolex, I've never...not once.... had a client comment on my watch. How about you, SEB'S?

I deal with one company manager on a regular basis who I know is really into watches.
We have had many 'watch related' chats long after the business meeting we originally met for has finished. Here's a recent pic he took so he could compare my Sub C date to his pre C version. Not really the same I suppose as a total stranger noticing your watch, but it is nice to find another WIS to chat to face to face as much as I enjoy communicating with you guys on TRF... ![]() Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

As far as I can recall, only ever had comments on my IWC ceramic rattrapante, (46mm) and a cool vintage Seiko Bullhead chrono ...

Only Rolex I own that got noticed by client one time was my blue 1601 and it was because of the color. I occasionally (if I have a hectic day of appointments and want reminders) wear an Apple Watch at work - and damned if that ugly thing doesn’t constantly get client comments and questions. Maddening
