Is this Vintage Daytona real?
Hi everyone,
posting here for the first time. I was just browsing the web and came across this vintage Daytona for a crazy low price (I think too good to be true). Wanted to ask some experts here if the watch is real. Thank you for your advice. Last edited by razzledazzle; 9 November 2017 at 09:13 AM.. Reason: Pictures were too small |

Fake.
Now this is confirmed, will you please tell us where it is being offered for sale? There is no reason not to share this. Thankyou.

Very much fake. I hate seeing this sort of thing. Where would one start. The obvious problems include the Rolex Coronet, and size and style of Rolex font on the dial.
The true Rolex coronet is three dimensional and much more delicate. This watch also has much too large a font, as often occurs in fakes. Small crisp print on dial requires more expense. Hour markers also appear shallow, and the pusher positions appear close to symmetric, but that could be the photography. Here are my Daytonas for comparison. |

Hi guys,
thank you for the quick responses, really appreciate the advise. Funny thing is the guy agreed to meeting at AD, so AD can check if the watch is real. It is offered on ebay kleinanzeigen in Germany. They actually have 3 or 4 vintage Daytonas (if you would call patrizzi vintage) for sale. |

A lot of work went into making this counterfeit. I would like to know what the asking on it was. Call me curious- what are these guys charging for such a thing?
