5711 blue to 5070g?
Struggling on this one, hope u guys can help.
Dump the 5711 and get me a 5070g? I can only have one at the moment. wrist size 6.5 I never wear a suit if that matters. |

I agree with u on the size matter it may be too large for ur wrist but it is the better watch between the two imho. 5170p is a good option but i still havent completely warmed up to the baguette indices, if ur fine with them i say go ahead Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Haha this thread is insane... who would have guessed we would be comparing these a year or two ago...
5070 is of course the superior watch and cool as hell but 5711 is more in demand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Make sure you try the 5070 first. I wanted one for the longest time, and trying it on quashed my hopes for it. Beautiful watch that's a classic, but it's a big watch and wears big on small wrists.

I would keep the 5711 but that 5070 is nice...... I dunno. Have you tried it on? If so, post some photos so we can see it on you.

Buy the one you will wear the most. I have a 5712 and love it. I also have a 5070P; 5970P, 5170G and Daytona C among others PP and Rolex SS. They all get wrist time but the 5970 gets the most. IMHO its almost perfect, wears great on wrist, beautiful casework and movement, PCC and does not draw attention unless another WIS is in the room. The 5070 does wear bigger than 5712 but not obnoxiously so. The 5711 is timeless (I would not sell one unless you just dont wear it) but if you do replace I would only do so with another timeless reference which for me would be a 5970/5070 which would fit well with your Daytona and SubC

Im seriously considering adding the 5070g to my collection. I have the 5711 and its a keeper for me and I wouldnt trade it for the 5070. I find bracelet models more versatile for me. I have about same wrist size as you and I think the 5070g will be fine since it has <50mm lug to lug length. I have the 5170p and its a great watch that is the perfect size for small wrists.

the fact that a 5070g and a 5711 are the same prices is ridiculous. I vote 5070 all day long, unless you care about how cool people think you are on Instagram

If I'm you, i will try to keep the 5711 and add the 5070G. 5711 is really hard to get nowadays, as is most Nautilus but the 5711 blue is particularly hard.

I'd do it but personally prefer the 5170 series. Don't plan on getting the 5711 back at a palatable price though.

It would be tricky getting the 11 back. It would cost you an arm and a leg if you wanted it back. |

tough call. the two watches in my collection that would be the last to go are the 5711 blue and 5070G. i think theyd make a perfect 2 watch combo. If i were you, id be patient and eventually add, dont swap.

Love the 5070 series, it's an amazing classic that I would love to have one day in addition.
I wouldn't wear it the same amount as a Nautilus and therefor wouldn't trade for one. |
