Underrated... not sure why!

I’m really not sure why this bad boy is underrated. It’s wears great and this blue dial.... wow. It does not get old looking down at this thing.

If anyone is on the fence about the Deepsea and/or the JC D-Blue variant... dooooo it! And for all of those times that you’ll need to dive down to 3900m, it can handle that too!

I don't believe it is underrated at all brother! It just has a smaller audience due to its size.

My rating = High

Very nice. Should the occasion arise whereby it becomes possible to try on one of these I will. The colors are well done.

Congratulations.

Someone on the forum has 6.5” wrist and wears the DSSD.
There’s no way I can it pull it off.

This is not underrated at all! There are many passionate owners of this timepiece (myself included).

Many people mistakenly think that this watch is too big and too thick but many that try it on are surprised to see that the proportions actually work and is comfortable to wear.

The heft and presence is unmistakable. The D-Blue dial with domed crystal, remarkable!

I don't think it's underrated.

It's just not a watch for everyone.

I can admire the watch's aesthetics and engineering, but I don't want one.

It's too big, too heavy, and too expensive for my tastes.

Ye, I have tried one on.

Not under rated. Highly regarded. Just too big IMO. To each their own.

I got to try one on last week while visiting my AD/friend. He just bought one for himself. It was between the JC or the black Sky Dweller.
It felt very substantial of course and didn't really swallow up my 7" wrist. It is a beauty for sure...

Beautiful watch, it's all about that dial. Don't think I'd call it underrated, it does sell over retail, LOL.

Ok... maybe underrated is not the right term. However, people seem to give it a lot of flack due to its size and weight. I have a 7.5” wrist and it doesn’t seem large on me at all. The weight has also been a non issue for me.

It’s not that heavy at 220 grams for its size. Try on a 18k Skydweller or platinum DD as they are much heavier. The new bracelet was a game changer to the DSSD for me. It’s a alph diver and is suppose to be big. The watch just works for its targeted audience that appreciates a technical diver.

Ironically enough I find the new DSSD to wear very similar on the wrist. Great watch

I love mine. I always joke that it’s like a weighted bat in the on deck circle. It’s amazing on the wrist. You get totally used to the weight/ size quick. When you switch out to a sub or explorer after a few days, the dssd makes them feel lightweight.

Looks great, really appreciate the details on the 12s as I grow familiar with them. The original 11s are fantastic as well.

I really like em

But, when I was offered one and opened the box, I couldn’t get over the sheer massiveness of it

It’s simply huge
