5970p vs 5379p

I’ve always wanted a 5970 and finally acquired one !!

Here it is next to my 5370

Soooooo I kinda still like my 5370 more

5970 is smaller and harder for me to read

Enamel dial can’t be beat

That said I feel quite fortunate to own both

Great combo. Good find on the 5970P. A most iconic watch.

Superb pieces, but that doesn't mean you get an extra 9 points for them.

Emotionally the 5970P is the winner. Beautifully balanced dial, smaller size.

Intelligently the 5370P is the winner. Manual wind and chrono was made for each other. Enamel dial is indeed a thing of beauty, the larger size is not ideal for me.
Amazing duo!!!

Since you are in the catbird seat, Whichever you find yourself wearing more is the natural winner

Personally i would trade them both for a 5950A.

Enamel dial, smaller size, 1 hr chrono, and nice legibility

Ive wanted to get a 5970p also but the size is unfortunately too small (did find one offered in great condition for 180k US 2 months back). Wears more like a 37-38mm (i've seen some comparison shots next to a 5170p and the 5970 looks smaller). The 5270 line is where i am heading for a PCC. Nevertheless, the 5970p is a beauty

Thx guys...been wearing the 5970p since it arrived and yes at first the size bothered me but it's grown on me the more I wear it and I can appreciate it now...especially with lots of other watches of larger size in the collection.

It's really a fab piece...so much so maybe I'll move my 5270 now....who knows.
