Rolex watch serviced by grey seller but not RSC?
I recently contacted a Chrono24 seller who has 200+ transactions, and was told that the watch I am interested has been serviced by the seller about a month ago.
Generally speaking, can a reputable seller be trusted for their service of watches? Will this type of "private" service history cause any issue if I want to have the watch serviced by RSC in the future? Thanks in advance!! |

An RSC service comes with paperwork attesting to what was done to the watch to bring it up to Rolex standards.
An RSC service uses genuine parts by a Rolex trainer watch maker. An RSC service comes with service warranty, I believe it’s 2 years. Hence to me, an RSC service tops my list of deal-maker. I can’t be assured the same with a private service made by a seller. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wouldn't trust them unless it's a massive dealer.

What reference is it? For something not currently considered “hot”, I’d keep looking.
Too many unknowns.

Thank you both for the input! What I worry most is whether the seller has messed up anything when the watch was serviced privately. It could also be an issue that some non-genuine Rolex parts were put in the watch. Guess I should move on and keep looking? |

Nope. If a grey opened up a watch and touched it I would walk away. It's not that expensive for RSC to go through one. My opinion of course.

Sorry, I wouldn’t buy it. I’ll give the seller this, at least he’s up front about it.
