Even if (when) it’s launched tomorrow for Speedy Tuesday, it could still be months before they’re available.

I could be wrong, but someone on OF has noted that OB are expecting shipments in Jan. This is not first hand knowledge so believe what you may.

Reference #s

310.30.42.50.01.001 - Hesalite
310.30.42.50.01.002 - Sapphire

Pricing for EUR is $6200. Converted to CAD is around $9700 minus the taxes (in Canada taxes are after MSRP), I am guessing it will be around $8,500. Which is around a whopping 26% increase.

DAMN!

Sapphire will get close to 10K then

I’m glad I picked up the old one(hesalite) in December. I couldn’t justify another $1800cdn & 15% HST for the new model and would have probably passed.
If my calculations are right it’s almost a 27% increase here in Canada with the 15% HST applied.

I'll consider one if they come with an adjustable clasp.

Same here, having the Hesalite make sense to get the Saphire

Interesting fact from official statements:

Even the dial shows the attention-to-detail that OMEGA has committed to this updated collection. In accordance with the Calibre 3861’s frequency, the minute track is now split by 3 divisions, as opposed to the 5 divisions on previous models.

Yes. I’m glad I picked mine up last week. It was difficult for me to find from an AD. I purchased it directly from Omega. Was one of the last ones sold on their website

Bought mine at an AD a few weeks ago and told it was the last Hesalite they’d have before the new ones came. Figured it was just BS because they still gave me a 20% discount. New ones are nice and I like the certified chronometer aspect along with the new bracelet. I immediately removed the bracelet and wear on a NATO. I think I’d actually use this new bracelet.

But look at the improvements. IMO, the 3861 movement alone is worth it. The bracelet is an improvement as well along with the dial. Then there's the dot over the ninety on the bezel (great for the traditionalists).

Fair points. Whether that warrants nearly a $1,000 increase is debatable but you are correct that the price hike does come with some improvements and modernizing.

Omega msrp can’t be taken seriously. They can hike it 30% it’ll still be 40% off on the gray market all day
