New Sub question
I am waiting on a Submariner, 124060 or 126610LN. I currently have the previous iteration (Hulk). I have a 6.5" wrist and do like larger watches. My question is with the clasp. Does anyone feel the width of the new clasp is uncomfortable? I have tried on an exhibition one only and not sized of course so difficult to tell how the clasp will feel.

The slightly wider bracelet of 124060 distributes the weight of the watch a bit better. It’s so comfortable that, now that it’s sweater weather, I’ve caught myself forgetting I had it on, tucked away under a sleeve. |

Hi Michelle, I got the call for my 126610 yesterday in fact. The clasp was something I was worried about with my 6.5-6.75 inch wrist.
I am more than content with how it fits as a whole and the clasp has not been a bother whatsoever.

I had the 126610 and sold it. Couldn’t get past the uncomfortable feeling of the large clasp

Interesting to hear. I don't even notice it while wearing it.

7.9 inch wrists and I feel the 11 series clasps are better .Better balanced to the size of the watch.

The blade of the clasp is actually the same length as other rolex models, it's just the out shell is larger because of the glidelock, which is the best mechanism ever made... |

I just got the new Starbucks and can’t tell the difference in terms of feel from my old 114060. If you like them up side by side you can see the difference. But not really feel it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Uncomfortable? Not at all, In fact it’s extremely comfortable. Had a 116610 and got the call on a 124060 in March. Hasn’t left my wrist since.

Not at all, this isn't some cheap $2 off-brand junk store watch. Rolex put a lot of research and development into their designs and the clasps are very comfortable.

I wouldn’t say it’s uncomfortable but the larger clasp, less taper, and wider bracelet is something I can definitely feel when comparing to my 116610lv bracelet. It’s comfortable, but I find the previous 116610 bracelet a tad comfier

I did notice it was larger at first, but it’s extremely comfortable. My wrist might be slightly larger than yours but not by much. I prefer the new bracelet size, it’s very comfortable.

I own a Hulk and 41 Sub ND, I have not noticed any significant changes between the two specially when it comes to wearability, I even like the clasp on the newer version slightly better and it fit nicely with the new bracelet size!
Both are gorgeous watches you will enjoy them equally Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk |

I also have a small wrist, and own a 2014 sub. I tried on the new gen sub a few weeks back and I found the clasp to look and feel a lot bigger and chunkier than the one I own. Definitely wont be changing mine for a 41 that's for sure

Genuinely interested to understand how your wrist can 'feel' the whole additional 1mm in clasp width, considering how the blade (the bit that actually comes into contact with your wrist) is the same size?

I have a 124060 and a 126710 - I don't notice anything substantially different between the two whilst wearing them so I can only imagine the difference between a 116610 and a 124060/126610 to be negligible.

I am in the same scenario as you. I owned a 116610LV and recently purchased a 124060. My impressions may be different from others...
I will start by saying, overall, I think the new Submariner proportions are perfect. To my eye, the watch absolutely wears larger than the "11" references. Part of that is the ~40.5mm diameter, but the other part is the larger clasp. It doesn't bother me and this is coming from someone who had zero issues with the supercase and the proportions of the previous model. I like that the current generation Submariners and GMT-Master IIs wear a little differently than the previous generations which seemed very similar in fit. The Submariner does feel a little larger, more "industrial," than its refined cousin. |

I just picked up a 126610LN. The only thing that gives me pause is the clasp and that wider bracelet but I'm beginning (Gasp!) to think it might actually balance the watch on the wrist better.
I think the tapper and width on the one on left is better but...can't fight city hall! |

6.5 checkin in. I’m mixed on the new clasp. It takes up the entire underside of my wrist. I can live with it, but I’m not in the new trumps old camp on this debate. It’s neutral on it. They both have +/-s

It’s very subjective. I tried on a few new Subs and I feel the bracelet/clasp is too wide. I am not a fan. I have owned 5 digit and 6 digit Subs previously.

Depends on your wrist I guess. I like both and own both (114 and 124)
To me, the visual difference is more apparent than the wearing experience. |

I did notice it and didn't like it which is why I didn't get any of the new subs. I have a 114060 and a 116610LV.

Michelle, my wrist is 6.75 and I wear my watches on the loose side. I wore sub date purchased in 2012 until acquiring 41 sub date in Aug. Didn’t realize clasps were different until I read it on TRF. I think you’ll be fine.
