Urgent help BB58!!!
Hi All,
Just took my BB58 blue out of the watch roll for the first time after a couple of months, and the dial has changed?!! At first I thought it was dust on the crystal, but it’s pretty obvious it’s on the dial itself and not uniform. Could this be a holy grail BB58 worth millions in the future from a 1 off manufacture defect or should I take it back and demand a new one?! Thanks in advance, and sorry if my panic has already been replicated hundreds of times in the last few months - I have not searched! |

One off for sure, priceless collectors item right there.
I'd run to Christie's as fast as possible and get that thing on the auction block. Congrats on the financial windfall ![]()

It looks like crap, send it back and get it sorted so you don’t have to look at that mess every day

I seriously don’t know why a premium product like this in an enclosed case protected in a watch roll not exposed to elements can do this!
Yes I think I will take it to Christie’s first on the way to the Tudor boutique |

I’ve had a watch do the same before but it’s because I washed the dishes, the crown popped out for literally a second….watch looked fine before it went into the box but after a month the inside of the Crystal had moisture on it. |

Strange. Maybe they let the apprentice robot make yours. Defo take it back to get it sorted in case it’s a sign of bigger issues

I don't think they would give you a replacement after several months, if you were serious there, just a warranty repair.

That should be covered under warranty, and the dial or watch replaced.

All joking aside, how on earth could this happen to a high end dive watch? I realize it’s not exactly a Rolex, but Rolex has been bragging about their water and humidity resistant cases for decades.

Makes me wonder how many have been corrected or fixed over the years, that would be tropicals, spider dials, cream dials, etc. OP: if it were mine, I would leave it and see what happens in the years to come. The cost to repair or replace later on is always an option, and would be worth the gamble imo, unless you can’t stand it.
